It's Demi's birthday today! I'm not even going to lie my Lovatic side is coming out. Maddie and I are making Demi breakfast in bed then we'll watch the id channel all day. Around 6pm Dianna, Eddie, Maddie, and I are going to take Demi out to eat. I wish marissa were here to celebrate too.
I go downstairs and get stuff out to make pancakes. Halfway through mixing the batter the phone starts to ring.
Me: hello?
Marissa: hey Amanda is Demi home?
Me: yeah but she's sleeping
Marissa: tell her to call me when she wakes up
Me: I will but marissa why aren't you here?
Marissa: I told you I'm visiting family
Me: that's always your excuse when you leave
Marissa: well it's true
Me: but you hardly talk to mom anymore
Marissa: I talk to her every day
Me: no you don't mar and I don't know what's going on between you two but it needs to stop you two have been friends for too long to just stop talking
Marissa: I'll be back in two weeks we'll figure out what's going on then
Me: no marissa you need to get your ass home now you should not be skipping out on your best friends birthday
Marissa: watch who your speaking to young lady
Me: not gonna happen dude
I hang up the phone and get back to the pancakes. Once they're done I top them with whipped cream and make Demi some coffee. Maddie comes down and cuts up some fruit and puts it in a bowl. An hour later we have breakfast ready and we bring it upstairs. We knock on the door and walk in.
"Good morning girls" Demi smiles
"Morning mommy" I smile
"We brought you breakfast" Maddie says
"Thank you" Demi says
Maddie gives Demi her breakfast then goes to get Tristan, I sit next to Demi n the bed.
"I can't believe your 22" I say
"Me either kiddo" Demi says
"I'm so proud of you" I tell her
"Thank you baby" Demi smiles
"You're welcome" I smile
"Now we do need to have a talk about that conversation you had with marissa" Demi says sternly
"She told you, didn't she?" I groan
"She did and I'm not very happy with you" Demi tells me
"I'm sorry mom I've just been worried about you two and it's frustrating" I tell her
"That may be but you need to let us handle it okay" Demi says
"Okay" I say
Maddie comes back in the room with Tristan and Demi takes him. Maddie climbs up on the bed on the other side of Demi and we all cuddle up.
"Perfect way to spend the day" Demi says aloud
"Agreed" Maddie and I say
After a while we get hungry so Maddie and I go downstairs and make grilled cheese for the 3 of us and grab some baby food for Tristan. We bring it it up and I feed Tristan while the other two eat. Once we all finish eating I bring the stuff back downstairs and clean up the kitchen. Demi refuses to get out of bed so we're still watching the id channel.
"Mom it's 4 you gotta get up and get dressed" I say
"Why?" Demi whines
"Because I said so" I mock her
"Fine" Demi groans
Maddie takes Tristan into his room and gets him in something cute and I go change too. A few minutes later Maddie brings Tristan in my room, he looks adorable! He's in a cute little baby tux with his hair combed back.
"Maddie he looks so cute" I exclaim
"Good he was so figity" Maddie says
I laugh and Maddie goes to get dressed, Tristan's playing with my comb. I'm wearing a red knee length dress with my black converse. I curl my hair and put a little makeup on. I bring Tristan downstairs and Maddie and Demi are right behind me. Maddie's wearing a black knee length dress and Demi's wearing a silver knee length dress. It's 5:30 now so we have to get going.
"Alright let's go" I say
"Where are you taking me?" Demi asks
"You'll see" I say
I get in the drivers seat and Maddie gets in the passenger seat leaving Demi in the back with Tristan. Once we're all buckled I start driving to the resteraunt. I park my car next to Diannas then we go in.
"You didn't have to do this for me" Demi says
"I know but you deserve it" I tell her
"Thank you" Demi says
"Any time" I smile
We walk over to the table Diannas sitting at and hug her and Eddie. They both say happy birthday to Demi. We order our food then Maddie pulls out a present and hands it to Demi. She reads the card then opens the present to find a charm bracelet.
"Thank you so much Maddie" Demi smiles
"You're welcome" Maddie smiles
I was about to hand Demi the scrapbook but the waitress came so I'll just wait. We all ordered our food and went back to talking.
"Can I say something" I say
Everyone is silent so I start talking
"mom it has been quite a crazy year and a half but I wouldn't change it for the world. I may have gotten myself in a lot of trouble but I wouldn't change anything for the world I love you so much and I'm so proud of the person you have become I can't wait to see what's to come in the next 22 years I love you mom"
Demi gets up and comes over to my seat, she hugs me tightly and starts crying.
"Thank you baby I love you too" she says
"Mom you can't cry yet I'm not done" I say
"What?" She asks
I hand her my present and she sits back down to open it. Once it's open her mouth drops. She looks through it and cries even more.
"this is amazing" she says
"I had a feeling you'd like it" I smile
"I love it" she smiles
I get out the box with the locket and hand it to Tristan and whisper in his ear to hand it to Demi.
"Mama" he says and holds the box out
"You have something for me too?" She says suprised
Demi takes the box and unwraps it. She opens up the lid and smiles.
"It's so beautiful" she exclaims
"Open it" I tell her
"It's all of us" Demi smiles
"Of course" I say "I was going to find you something and I was carrying Tristan and he grabbed it so I had to get it"
"I love it so much" she exclaims "all of these presents are amazing"
"So are you" Maddie and I say
Dianna and Eddie didn't get her anything but she didn't even notice with the other stuff she got. I'm so happy that she's happy I just wish marissa were here.
