Although kissing up hasn't worked and I'm still in diapers I can't stop from living my life. I'm taking Gracie to an infant class where we'll do things to help her development. It actually sounds pretty fun, I wish we had known when Tristan was Gracie's age. Shawn wants to come with me, I'm a little uneasy about it but I'm allowing it.
"Honey shawns here" Demi tells me
"Send him up" I tell her
"Hey" Shawn says as he walks in my room
"Hey" I say "so Gracie will be waking up from her nap any minute then we'll go"
"Alright cool" Shawn says
I start packing up her bag and getting bottles together, Gracie wakes up while I'm downstairs but Shawn gets her. I come back upstairs to Shawn bouncing Gracie so she'll calm down.
"We're ready" I say
I take Gracie and buckle her in her car seat, Shawn gets in the passenger side and I get the drivers side. Once we get to the place Shawn changes Gracie's diaper then head in. We have to sit in a circle on the floor with the babies in our laps.
I notice Kelly Clarkson with River, and Kevin with Alena. Our instructor has us in groups of 3 so I walk over to Kevin and Kelly to see if they want to be in a group. They agree so we find a station. There's not much Gracie can do right now so while this station is for crawling I have her lay on her stomach.
Alena and River are all over the crawling, they love it. Gracie isn't too fond of laying on her stomach but she'll get used to it. After 10 minutes go by we move onto the next station. Luckily it's just reading to the kids. Kevin volunteers to read so I hold Alena for him. All 3 babies are listening intensely, it's insane. Of course by the end Gracie is asleep again so I take her and Shawn and I head out.
"Well that was fun" he says
"Yeah, but although they say newborns are welcome too she was too little" I state
"She was" Shawn agrees "so um how's life?"
"Pretty good" I say
"That's good" Shawn says "sorry I was such an ass"
"I forgive you" I say
"I realized that I wasn't doing right by my daughter and had to do something about it" Shawn admits
"I'm glad you did" I tell him
"Can I come over again soon?" He asks
"Sure just text me first" I say
"Cool thanks" he says
Shawn says bye to Gracie then I take her inside and lay her down. Shawn seems like he's actually trying to do the right thing now, I'm proud of him.
