Love is like magic
And it always will be.
For love still remains
Life's sweet mystery!!
Love works in ways
That are wondrous and strange
And there's nothing in life
That love cannot change!!
Sky's POV
" Merry Christmas, " everyone around me shouted. I mumbled my wishes, because this Christmas was definitely not being a merry one. I had been racking my brains for a way to go check on Amaya by giving my mom a reasonable excuse. But nothing came up. Steve and Oliver were definitely disappointed, me putting a girl before our broship. But this girl was Amaya. Amaya for heaven's sake.
Steve was the first one to cave in and help me and soon Oliver joined in too. Maybe my desperateness was too prominent. It was 87 o'clock and if I started then, maybe I would be able to reach home by 12 tonight. Well, given the fact that the streets were not jammed.
I made my way to my mom, who was standing with my dad by the sea. Annelise sat nearby playing with the sand.
" Mom, " I shouted, but the waves didn't help at all. So u walked up to her and said, " Mom, I need to talk to you. "
" Sure, " she said, " What happened? "
" I-I need to go home, " I said.
" What? But we don't go until tomorrow. And your dad and I were planning on staying till New Year. "
" Mom, I need to go. Amaya-"
" So has Amaya become more important to you than your family? " she said in a stern voice. I looked down. I knew mom looked forward to this holiday every year. A day we could all unwind someplace far from the city.
" Mom, she is in trouble. "
" Did she tell you that? " a bit of concern lacing her voice.
" No but I know, I can explain everything to you and I will, once I get back, " I pleaded.
" Explain now, " she said in a cold voice.
" Honey, sixth sense does come true you know, " dad said and I looked up at him with new hope.
" Yeah mom, I swear I will tell you everything once I get back. I just don't wanna be late before something happens, " my heart ached while saying this but there was no other way to put it. I had just spoken my fears out loud and it sorta felt even worse.
" Go on son, " dad said pulling me away from mom. " I know what you mean. I'll handle it here. "
I huggee him and mumbled a thanks. Taking my keys, I rushed to my car pulling Steve and Oliver with me.
The journey back was a blur. I don't remember how much I sped and slightly remember flying the car a bit as I rushed through the speed breaker. Steve and Oliver kept wanting to take over and let me calm down but I was adamant. We stopped for gas and that was the only willing stoppage I made. The road was jammed at places but to my joy it was freed within minutes. When I reached home, it was nearly 11. I was about to get down when I saw Bianca get on a car. God was with me, I thought.
" Duck down, " I said when I noticed she was turning around.
I looked up after some time and found her getting in the car. Hopefully she didn't recognize the car. It was not mine. It was Steve's. Partly explained his worry during my driving.
