"Canada Gekyume? I mean it's lovely but I want you to be safe.." Jenesis lectured her son.
She had already expressed signs of worry and doubt as the date to our trip came closer and closer. Many tweaks and adjustments had been made as well.
It was no longer just me and Gekyume, it was the both of us, plus his older cousin TJ who was basically his bodyguard. Jahsiah decided to tag along too, as well as Joyri and Mykel.
Jahsiah felt the need for the vacation to be more family friendly and asked if more of her cousins could come. I was okay with Leona coming since we got along very well, and Nahmir too despite him being a flirt.
His uncle JMob's eldest son Junior was coming too. TJ and Junior were practically just babysitting us. Because apparently at seventeen we weren't 'responsible' enough.
"Alright y'all kids to go?" Junior questioned as he struggled down the stairs with a big suitcase.
He was built and very muscular so he'd be in charge of most of the luggage.
"Kids? You're only two years older than us." Gekyume made a smart remark giving me a quick hug from behind as it was the first time we'd seen each other today.
"Shut yo lil 5'6 ass up, you my son Geko!" TJ joined the conversation.
Gekyume was only taller than me because I was 4'11. He'd tell me that he got his height from his Dad.
He never really told me about his dad. He'd give me the same response I'd give him when he'd ask me something about my personal life or past.
'I'll tell you when I trust you.'
I respected that, there was no pressure. I didn't have a dad either, he did the unthinkable to me.
"Baby come give me a hug.." Jenesis waltzed towards her only child with a sad look on her face.
They had only been in separate places once when Gekyume was a baby and she took a quick weekend away to Puerto Rico.
"Mama, don't be sad, I'll only be gone for a week and I'll- no, please don't cry.." He held his mom tight. He truly was a mama's boy.
We said our goodbyes, receiving mini lectures from Mama Cleo and glocks were handed to TJ and Junior. Typical Tank. a/n Where ya glock at Tank?!
