I sat on a roof by the repentance cell. I felt two people coming. I looked down to see people trying to get up. My head tilted to the side as a small smile came to my face. How interesting.

"should we push them off?" Sora asked with a laugh.

I rolled my eyes and snickered a bit.

"they seem to be having enough trouble getting up on their own," I said.

I watched as the bigger guy toes the rope around with the squad four soul reaper. He threw them up and they soon sat on the roof and took the guards out.

My eyes slightly narrowed. Perhaps now would be a good time to interfere. I watched as the smaller one pulled out a key. I sighed and jumped down just as they entered the cell. I looked behind me sensing Byakuya on his way.

Perhaps I should show mercy and take them out now so they don't have to face Byakuya.

"that would be merciful," Sora said.

I looked a few steps forward as they argued. I stood by the door and drew my zanpakuto so they could hear. They turned to me shocked as I gave them a small smile.

"I hope you both know what you're doing is a serious offence even more so in this time where even captains can use their full strength. Because you intruders aren't very subtle." I said.

I felt them noticeable tense by my presence and I pointed my zanpakuto at them. I went to take a step forward but stopped feeling Byakuya come behind me. I turned to see him a distance away from me. I signed.

"Sadly for you, I could not finish it before my captain showed. I was hoping to let you avoid his attacks." I said with a small smile.

"Akiko come," Byakuya said.

I flashed stepped to his side and he looked down at me. I looked away. Before meeting his gaze. He's been off recently. I think his sister's execution is affecting him more than he would like to show. But I kept my mouth shut. If it was affecting him there must be a reason he's not stopping it. And it wasn't my place to question why.

After more arguments, the big guy threw the smaller one inside. was he stupid, attacking Byakuya? I took a step forward preparing to fight him instead, but Byakuya put his arm out in front of me.

"But captain I'm beyond capable of dealing with him, you shouldn't have to waste your time," I said.

Honestly, I didn't want to fight. I've only ever fought to hurt hollows, I don't know how I would do against someone I didn't see worthy of pain for their actions. But if Byakuya did it the boy definitely wouldn't be spared.

He looked at me and his eyes slightly narrowed and I looked down taking a step back. I then looked up at the man standing off with Byakuya, giving an apologetic look. He slightly tensed. I looked at Rukia to see the worry on her face. She also knew what would happen.

I bit my lip. Byakuya finally spoke and I couldn't bring myself to look up at him. I saw Rukia fall to the ground, probably from the spiritual pressure. Byakuya had strong spiritual pressure, I could tell the man was struggling with it. He met my gaze and I held it.

If he were to die here I would watch to the end. It's the least I could do. He ran forward and Pulled out bomb but Byakuya was already gone, well behind him to be exact. Blood spilled from the man's arm and he fell to one knee.

I hoped he would stop. Byakuya just showed him mercy take it and leave. But no the big idiot stood up and faced Byakuya again.

"No Shiba man would ever run." The boy called.

This gained Byakuya attention, as he looked back. I closed my eyes for a second, The damn fool.

"you're from the Shiba clan, are you? Forgive me for taking it easy on you." Byakuya said drawing his zanpakuto.

Rukia called out to her brother pleading with him and I watched as he called the zanpakuto's name and the blades danced around the boy. Within seconds thousands of blades cut the man. He never saw it coming. He fell to the ground covered in wounds.

Byakuya went to attack again, but I looked to see another man in a captains cloak grab Byakuya's wrist stopping him. I watched the exchange but my eyes moved to the bloody man. If not treated soon, he would die.

I was snapped out of my thoughts when I felt an incredible spiritual pressure. I looked up searching for where it came from. Who it came from. I watched someone fly up and my eyes widened. No, it impossible, no, please.

"Akiko calm down." Sora said.

I stood there stuggling to hold back tears. Why out of everyone must it be him.
