3rd Person POV
"Today class, we will have a workout test." The class, which Peter was in, had to do a test today, and they were absolutely dreading it.
Many groans were heard across the gym. Ned and MJ were with another group separated from Peter and they were sitting at the spectator seats, giving their friend apologetic looks. 1 because he had to do a tiring test, and 2, he was in the same group as Flash.
"So, all of you need to hang onto that pole, the person who lasts the longest wins. Let's go!" The coach gestured for everyone to walk to the pole. So everyone did as they were told; luckily, Peter was far away from Flash and his goons, so he was fine.
An idea popped in Peter's head. What if he could use his spider-powers to be the last to let go of the pole and humiliate Flash? That boy needed a taste of his own medicine. Peter spotted Flash already boasting about how he would win. Ha, screw him.
All the girls and boys in Peter's group positioned themselves. on the count of three, they all leapt up to the pole and hung themselves, only with their hands. Peter felt no pain at all, and he did it all in little to no effort.
25 seconds in and already 5 people let go.
40 seconds in and another 3 let go.
There were 15 in a group and 8 were down; only 7 left, that included Peter and Flash.
1 minute and 15 seconds were gone and there were three people left.
1 minute and 45 seconds left and only Peter and Flash were left.
Flash was furious (Lol, Fast and Furious joke there) how could Peter be beating him? Peter looked like he wasn't in pain at all like it was a normal thing. Boy did he know that Peter was an Avenger, and his favourite superhero his mum would tell bed stories to him about.
2 minutes had passed and Flash had slipped his left hand, he fell to the floor. Peter, on the other hand, had been sleeping while hanging on to the pole. Everyone was amazed and surprised. "School record has been beaten!" The coach boomed and many people clapped and cheered.
This made Peter wake up from his slumber and fall to the ground with a thud. He could hear Ned and MJ cheering the loudest, he had won? He turned to Flash, who looked angry. Peter walked over to Flash and helped him up.
"I really don't like this rivalry, maybe we should be friends?" Flash smiled slightly and shook his offering hand.
The coach had already gotten a medal for Peter, but he had refused. "I think Flash should have it." With that, he handed his medal to a very confused, but happy Flash.
From that day onwards, Ned, MJ, Peter, and now their new addition, Flash had become the best of friends.
