BLAKE PRESSED THE button onthe intercom, requesting to be buzzed in. shortly after, the door to apartment building clicked open and the boys all walked inside. they went to the floor mckinley has said her apartment was on and looked for the door that corresponded with the number they has been given. george knocked on the wooden door in front of them and heard a girl shout, "cookie can you get the door?" shortly after, the door swung open revealing a petite brunette wearing a red blouse and a jeans.
next to reece, blake's face visibly brightened when he saw his not-so-secret crush. he smiled shyly and offered scout a pathetic little wave. "hey dudes, come in," scout said. as the boys followed him inside, reece subtly elbowed blake in the ribs. "you twat, you're acting like a complete moron. just ask the girl out mate!" reece muttered to blake. his friend's face went red as he processed what the blond had told him.
"hey guys," mckinley exclaimed as she walked out of a hallway that presumably led to her room. reece's breath was momentarily stolen away. he though the girl looked breathtaking in only a t-shirt and a pair of loose fitting jeans. "is there something on my face?" mckinley asked the boy. reece realized he was staring at her and tried to keep his face from turning too red. "um, no i was just, um. hi," he offered lamely.
she looked at him weirdly before saying hello as well. reece admonished himself internally. he knew she had a boyfriend and he couldn't come between them. he refused to be someone that broke a couple apart. so he decided to keep his distance from the girl who held his heart. he gave her one last fond look before tearing his gaze off of her, determined to stay away. "shall we go?" blake asked, shaking reece from his thoughts. everyone nodded and blake hooked his arm through scout's and led her out the door.
