"Lily guess who's here!" I call walking through the glass doors, into the orphanage/hospital.

Rosewood Orphanage/Hospital was a place where sick (Cancer, diabetes, etc) children without parents stay. It truly is sad, and unfortunate to what happened to the children. But it was otherwise a cheerful and amazing place. Everyone kept the kids happy, and there were charities all around helping to raise money for the place; for the children who need cures.

The children who get better (thankfully), just stay and hopefully wait for a loving family to adopt them.

I've been volunteering to work here for two years straight, which meant I was now eighteen. I had graduated just a few weeks ago, and soon in the fall I would be heading off to college. I've developed a great love for music and that would be my major.

"(Name)!" Lily dropped the blocks she was playing with and ran over, hugging my knees. I kissed the top of her head.

I've been coming and seeing Lilly ever since I started, and I helped around; playing with the children, setting up events, and much more. I couldn't help but say I enjoyed being here, making the kids smile. I was helping, and making a difference.

Lily was the first girl I met on my first day, and we clicked instantly. I cried when I found out her parents had died in a car crash. She would've died too, but they got her out of the car. She was now five, and was cured from Cancer not too long ago, which made me rejoice.

"Hey (Name)! I'm desperate for your help." I turned to Olliver and caught his wink. I rolled my eyes. Olliver helped around too, for the same reasons as me.

"Yeah yeah, whatever," There was going to be a performance for the children today. It happens often. Talented, but not famous (on the verge, though) people perform for them, and they love it. Music was something amazing and strong. I learned through personal experience. It was something everybody could connect with.

I worship the people who dedicate their time to perform for the kids. It's truly heart warming.

"I'll come over and play in a sec Lily. I just gotta help Olliver." She bobbed her head up and down, skipping off. That was the definition of adorable, and I had some exciting news to tell her later on.

I sat down on a chair, swinging my legs back and forth while waiting for instructions. I watched as Olliver fumbled with equipment and cameras.

"So who's performing?" I ask. He makes a weird face, as if concentrating, and shrugs. "Some guy who sings and plays piano. I think our age."

"Wow, and there so isn't a lot of people our age who play piano and sing." I reply sarcastically.

"You're such a kid." He says, chuckling. I raise my eyebrow. "And you aren't?"

"Touche."

"I thought so."

"Be a good girl and head over to the cart," He points to a cart on our right near another glass double doors. "And grab me a lightbulb. This one's burnt."

I hop up and follow his orders. I strolled across the room, lost in the moment while gazing around at the beautiful abode. The whole place was practically made of smooth oak wood and glass. The sun shone through the double doors, serenely lighting up the performance/play room, giving everything an orange-ish pink-ish hue. It was a peaceful atmosphere where you couldn't help but smile.
