"Good work today, (y/n)." you smiled as you heard your manager's praise towards you.

today was only a screening, but guess you're getting the job! You felt your arms and feet aching but it doesn't matter as long as you can make money to provide for your two angels without relying to Shoto, even though you're still grateful for the help that he and the Todorokis had supported you over the years.

you beamed as you faced the manager who was standing at the counter, "Yes! Thank you, Shigaraki-san!"

The tall male just smiled as he returned to his own business at the counter. You giggled as you saw how he raised his pinky to avoid manifesting his quirk and disintegrating the things he touches.

He was a lovely man, and was really gentle in handling his staffs as you noticed ealier. But you wondered why he was working at the back instead of being in the counter, which usually managers do.

"Oh I know what you're thinking." Shigaraki said as he glanced at you. His expression was neither mad nor happy. But it was calm and composed expression.

You pointed at yourself as you stopped mopping the floor, there are no costumer coming and you slightly felt embarrassed to whoever knows why.

"You were thinking why am I avoiding the crowd, am I right?" you suddenly felt kinda bad because you're being a nosy person.

"S-sorry! I didn't mean to-"

Shigaraki waved his palm, a sign that it's fine, "The truth is, I'm afraid."

You thought it was surprising that a manager would shy to cater the crowd, and that piqued your interest, "I was a former villain, and did a lot of bad things to this town."

"I trampled on a lot of heroes, destroying town, cities, did bad, unforgivable things you can never think of." You're taken aback by his confession.

"But you don't look like or act like a villain!" you opposed.

"Yeah, I learned my lesson. And I was given another chance to change my life and here I am now." he smiled as he pointed at himself.

But his smiled slowly began to fade, "But... you can never take back what mistakes you made in the past. That was the lesson for me."

"There are still people who can't accept me, as a part of the society. Who would want an ex-convict slash villain trying to be a manager of a cafe? There still people who despised me, they might be the people who lost their love ones because of me, or the victim of the accidents that I was the one who caused. But still, I'm still working my way, it might be hard, but I'm getting to it. I'm sure one day, they will forgive me even though what I did was unforgivable." you can't help it but to feel sad for Shigaraki.

you never knew that there are people like Shigaraki. But you can see that he is working hard to achieve his goals. He was trying to change, disregarding the fact that he was a former villain.

"Manager, I know you will be forgiven. You had the bravest heart to change paths. Instead of diving in deeper to villainy, you changed and how you're working hard to be a good citizen. You're a nice person, manager!" you said, making the male smile at you.

He scratched his head, a sign that he was bashful, "Thanks, (y/n). You're a good kid."

You heared the chime on the door rang, a sign that someone went inside the cafe and you decided to greet them, "Welcome-- Katsuki-san?"

You were surprised to see Katsuki in the cafe, but same with Katsuki after seeing his past nemesis. The one who kidnapped him in the past and was the reason of All might's retirement.
