"As all of you know, today is the last day of the summer program as on-the-job-trainees in Dream Cove. Preparing prized coffee and pasta is our speciality. All of you did a great job even as students who are still going to college. Elly, Harith, Mary and Jane, all of you, I hope, will keep our recipes a secret and of course bring your learnings to life like washing the dishes and eyeing leftovers." Everyone cackled as our Manager announced while others cried. "Make your last day here in this restaurant worth remembering."
"Man, today is our last day together guys!" Mary screamed with teary eyes. "See you guys in Bradford University!" We all cooed and embraced each other. Our last orders with random strangers were worthwhile. I stared at Harith most of the time while catching him glance at me. We always smile at each other even though we smiled just 10 seconds ago.
5pm came and that was the end of our duty. Everyone said their goodbyes and most of the people added each other in parties in Vainglory and other online games. Gaming is always in the break agenda.
"I guess this is goodbye Elly. I hope to see you in college." Harith whispered while I was keeping my stuff from the locker. "Me too." I replied. We stared each other's eyes as both locked for a couple of seconds. "Goodbye." We both said at the same time as we smiled going in our separate ways home.
