"You literally went all girly just for him. Now, that's just hilarious, but cute. You did the one thing that sorta ruined your definition of dignity just for him." Harry added. "And also he's fine with it knowing you're not that kind of person. You were ready to face the odds for him while he was questionable if he would do the same thing for you. He was fine when it came to changing you for some damn dress code that isn't a law to follow.""Point taken." I replied.
"You see, there are two kinds of love. When you're falling in love and there's what we call the unconditional kind of love. When you're in love, you love someone and adore them and all, but in order to surpass judgements in the future, changing them is part of the plan. You want them to be a better person, but sometimes, we make this a reason for their change only to find out it's for ourselves too so we wouldn't be shamed in the future. For example, you're in love with this fat guy and you have plans to introduce him to a gym and lose weight. There are two reasons, you want the best for him or for both of you so other people will not judge your relationship. Falling in love also makes you compare this person to a recent ex lover of yours. Sometimes, people always tell themselves the other person is better because he or she is more worth it in their opinion. The thing is, true love gives you no reason at all to love someone. I know it may seem crazy, but even if the person is rich, poor, handsome or whatever, it doesn't matter because you never signed up into loving for a reason just for that one person that makes you feel overwhelming. You get what I'm saying?"
I nodded with a speechless grin.
"And falling in love means you're literally still falling, so you still have a bit of love for yourself. So when you get pained like a heartbreak for example, you can push yourself up that damn floor." He gulped. "And unconditional love is the best but the worst trap in my opinion. You see, unconditional love starts when you give all you have to someone unconditionally. You can climb every mountain or swim every ocean without a bargain. It's a commitment and it's a life long one. Even when there's no spark, there's a life long promise of love."
"Woah. I never thought I'd hear great advice from a sixteen year old as myself. It's like you've been sent from a million sessions with a love doctor." I finally spoke out my lungs. "Age doesn't matter when loving. Some people even died at an old age without knowing or feeling true love."
"So you've experienced it? Care to tell?" I asked. "I guess I'm willing to bargain my story as a request." He grinned.
"I'm not sure if I can call it love, but it was messed up like a crush maybe. I only know what love is because of the books and my analysis of this feeling." "Anyway back in high school, I used to have a seat mate."
"We all had seat mates." I laughed.
"A different kind of seat mate. She's my old crush you idiot! Anyway, we would talk and have fun and laugh maybe. I really enjoyed her company until she also enjoyed my best friend's company as well. I thought they were just good friends as well until people rumored them being together. My best friend told me he never gave a damn about her. I thought he really missed one of the best people he could've had. Then I found out it was just his alibi because he knew I liked her or maybe even loved her with the fact that I baked puto cheese almost everyday to share with her for breakfast since it's her favorite kind of breakfast. I thought he was trusted."
"So you didn't trust him anymore because he fell for her?"
"It's impossible to not fall for her and I truly understood how he quickly fell for her. I didn't trust him anymore because he lied and actually, it was fine by me if he fell for her since she was also into him, but lying to save both relationships by playing with me is not going anywhere and it never did."
"So how are you guys like right now?"
"We're working things out as acquaintances. I never talked to the girl nor my best friend for a long time already actually." He replied.
"Who's the lucky girl and what year were you again?"
"First year, but past is in the past. You don't need to know who she is." He reasoned. "Curiosity kills me just so you know." I replied. "She's a girl and has hair, girl stuff and yeah." He joked which made me grin a bit until I forced it to a stop. "Seriously, who is it?"
"I promise, you don't need to know."
