"I'll study the patterns if it helps." Harith told Officer Davis on the phone since he couldn't help but do something about the situation.

"Come here in my office anytime today. I'm fine with all the help we could have in the team."

Harith then drove to the police station. Missing class didn't matter because without Elly in his life, it makes his world more bland.

Harith received a folder with similar cases that of Elly. The only difference is that they all died.

Case Files:

"Nikolai Sandoval, 22, male, social worker."

"Last seen around 19:00 in Serena Avenue, large van as a getaway vehicle for abduction, seemed to know the getaway driver, dead on arrival when found by netizens in a dumpster near Gaugeh Alley."

"He was kidnapped in the same street named Serena Avenue and someone he knew kidnapped him." Harith paused as he read the file of the man who recently died during June. Every serial killer has a pattern to leave as an evil legacy and uncovering it is Harith's greatest pleasure.

"Is there a factory or large establishment between Serena Avenue and Gaugeh Alley?" Harith's curiosity of possible places were widened. He asked Officer Davis for locations because anywhere is possible to be a den for illegal doing.

"Yeah, an abandoned factory that once made burger patties near Serena Avenue. The Avenue seems to be always a place of abduction even for the past kidnapped victims." Officer Davis sighed for he felt guilt run through his veins. After years of having these files, they never found a trace.

"We once asked the owner of the Avenue to give us some CCTV footage, but the owner denied since it's private and personal. Like, what if people pissed on the other side and it can be seen. They have many reasons unto why they can't show footage and it made things more suspicious. He can turn against the law since he has the money to pay officials." Officer Davis informed as he stared at the forgotten files.

"I think I know where to start." Harith replied. "Whoever owns that Avenue might be hiding something. It's key detective ways to identify."

"We know, but he's too big to push. We can't just go against big guns like that." Officer Davis replied. "But you can try." He then stared at Harith with a weak smile since he had hope in the kid.

Harith then didn't waste a single second, he knew what to do. He had to do something to look into the footage. He had a plan and that's to steal. He is a good thief after all as long it's for someone he loves and for a good cause.

The Serena Barangay Hall is where all the footages are. During 20:00, he observed that the window to one of the offices were sliding windows, so there's a possibility it'll not be locked in the evening because of the cold breeze.

21:00 came and he used his gun rope to reach for the same sliding window and chances became more vivid as it was actually in good luck open. He then went in and slowly stepped on one of the chairs. He then unlocked the room's door and found no one in the said area. The building unexpectedly had no CCTV cameras which made suspicions accumulate in Harith's head. He then went in an office that seemed like the perfect room for files. The room was like an attic for folders, files and etc. There he saw folders named after "June" and "August." CCTV footages were found in the folders because there were many CDs.

"This is it." Harith whispered to himself as he finally found the possible folders for answers.

Then he heard footsteps from the door, so he hid behind a wall as quick as possible. He couldn't help but have heavy breaths and turmoil.

The person seemed to have open the room as a creak could be heard from a distance. Good thing Harith closed it after entering because things will be more graving. The person sniffed the place and went in for a while for he or she seemed to have suspicions of a sudden break in until the person spoke. "It definitely smells like cocaine. It's probably someone brought drugs in here a week ago. The bitches were right, someone is smuggling drugs around these parts." The man said to himself as he sniffed the disturbing air surrounding the compact room. "Meh, who fucking cares. It's not like I'll benefit from any of this shit." The man sighed as he left the room and locked the door behind him.

As soon as the man left the room, Harith retreated with the folders through an open window by the right side of the room. He ran as soon as he felt the ground beneath him. He finally had possible evidence and things were definitely going his way.
