"Shhh" Jack softly said to Zach to keep from waking you up
"Bro, that's my sister" Zach said quietly but angrily
"I know, we were watching a movie and she fell asleep" Said Jack
"Dood, come on. You said y'all ar-" Zach started
"I swear, we aren't going to date without your approval, we're just talking right now so we aren't rushing things" Jack reassured
"Ok fine, what about Allie? Maddie's going to have to drive home eventually" Zach reminded Jack.
"I'll text Allie and tell her Maddie is asleep and see what she thinks we should do, because I can take her home tonight and take her car to her tomorrow if I need to" Jack said still trying not to wake you up
"She's not staying the night here, I can take her home later" Zach says
"I can do-" Jack started
"Nope I got it" Zach said and walked up to his room

Jack takes out his phone and texts Allie and tell her that you're asleep and he didn't know if she should drive home or not. Allie was still on the date so she didn't respond. Jack decided to just get on social media while he waited. You eventually started to wake up a little bit and you looked at what Jack was looking at on his phone. You saw edits of you and Jack together and it was super cute.

"Aww" you said sort of startling Jack
"A few fans made these so I thought I might as well check them out" Jack said
"That's cute" you said and looked up at Jack who you were still cuddled up to. He softly kissed you and then his phone started buzzing and he checked it and it was Allie

A: alright well if she's too tired she shouldn't drive home
J: okay she just woke up, I'll let you know what she decides
A: kk

"Hey, Zach wanted to know if you're too tired to drive home because if so he's gonna take you" Jack said
"I don't wanna drive, can I just stay here" you said and snuggled back up to Jack
"Zach said no, but he didn't say why"
"Ughhhh probably cause you're here but I'm not gonna break into your room or anything" you said
"I know but you know Zach"
"Yea I know" you said still tired
"I'll text Zach and tell him he's taking you home later, he got a little mad that you were asleep on me but I reassured him that we aren't a thing" Jack told you
"Ugh...okay as long as he's not super angry about it or anything I guess it's fine" you replied
"Maddie?" Jack asked
"Yeah?"
"I want to ask him, I want to be able to show them that we're dating, I want to hold hands in public, I want to hug, kiss, all that without having to hide" Jack spilled out randomly
"Me too Jack, maybe tomorrow?" You said
"Yeah...actually, how about now?"Jack said which shocked you
"Like...right now?" You said
"Yeah, why not, the other guys are asleep so why not get it over with" Jack said
"Okay. You text him" you said and sat up so you weren't a mess while talking to Zach about dating his best friend

Jack texted Zach and a few minutes later, you and Jack heard his footsteps coming down the stairs towards the living room. He eventually got there and sat in one of the chairs.

"What's up" Zach said
"So we wanted to talk to you" You said
"Yeah...you know you said we weren't allowed to date until you approved and..you know..I think we're ready to get your approval" Jack said to Zach
"Well I mean...I don-... I don't know" Zach said
"Yes you do, now tell us, we didn't ask for you to come in here to say 'I don't know' So tell us so we can enjoy life hopefully" you said
"Okay you guys both know I don't want y'all to date for various reasons, first off, Maddie, you are still young, you don't know love, second off, y'all never used to talk but now you suddenly talk and want to date, and third, Jack, you know and I know, you weren't in a relationship too long ago and I don't want what happened in the last relationship to happen with my sister because I don't know what would happen honestly" Zach finally said
"Okay well first, you don't know me completely, we haven't genuinely talked and caught up on stuff in a while, so you don't know if I know what love is but even if I don't, I definitely know what love is not, and this doesn't fit any of those" you snapped and Zach was silent
"Yeah and also, we just started talking because you kept me from talking to her all the other times, I've always thought she was beautiful but I never got to express anything because I had a chance of death if I simply talked to her or looked one wrong way, and one last thing, we both know what happened after my last relationship, no madder how long or not long ago it was, it still had a major impact and I'm definitely not the same person and you know that..you know but you act like you don't. I could never and may I repeat NEVER cheat on your sister because one, the band would die, and two, I'd hurt myself, my friends, and the most amazing girl alive" Jack said causing you to blush and gain a huge smile
"Jack you say that now but what about later, what if she wants to break up, what if she realizes LA isn't for her, what's going to happen?" Zach said
"Zach you're basing this whole thing off what ifs. What if me and Jack never break up, what if I decide LA is the best thing ever, what if you just let us have a chance" you said raising your voice
"I'm basing it off what ifs because you aren't thinking about these things, Maddie. You aren't thinking about everything that could go wrong. I've experienced these types of things and I don't want you to" Zach replied also raising his voice
"Zach just because your relationships don't always work out, doesn't mean mine won't" you said
"Maddie I just don't want to see you get hurt like you did the last time"
"I'm not worried about that. I just want to be able to show my affection whenever I want. I'm tired of having to wait for your approval, I'm done waiting" you said
"what're you gonna do then because you aren't dating Jack" Zach said
"Dood you aren't her parents or my parents, I agree with Maddie, we shouldn't be waiting for her brother to approve of us, in fact, his opinion shouldn't be our top priority" Jack said
"You know I'm not trying to be controlling I'm just trying to help and if you don't want to listen then don't listen but I don't want to hear about it when everything fails" Zach said and right about that time the other boys came in to see if everything was okay
"Is everything okay in here?" Jonah asked
"Yeah I was just leaving" you said and grabbed your keys from the kitchen
"I'm taking you home" Zach said
"Not anymore, I can drive" you said and walked out slamming the door
