Almost 3 hours later, you landed back home. You and Zach grabbed your things and got everything you needed. As soon as you had all of your things, Zach called your mom to tell her y'all had landed. She was parked out front so you and Zach went to her car. She helped you get the bags in and then she gave you each bear hugs.
"I missed you guys so much" your mom said as she hugged the both of you
"We missed you too" you both said as you hugged her back
You got into the car and started your drive home which was about 20 minutes. You texted Jack as soon as you got into the car.
M: Hey babe, we landed safe and we just got in the car with our Mom, I'll FaceTime you tonight
J: sounds good, I miss you already 😕
M: I miss you too🙁
J: well have fun and be safe I love you❤️❤️❤️❤️
M: I love you too❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
You and Zach told your mom about everything that had been going on lately. You told her about Allies boyfriend, your new friends, you and Jack, and your YouTube channel. Eventually you arrived at your house and you grabbed your bags and went inside to greet the rest of your family. You gave them hugs and told them everything you told your mom.
"Well I think I'm gonna go take a nap because someone got super early flights for us" Zach said as he walked up to his room
"Well atleast we got a flight, but I agree I'm tired" you said and followed Zach up the stairs.
You got to your room and unpacked some of your things. You got into bed and texted Allie that you had made it and were about to take a nap. You eventually fell asleep and woke up around 2:00pm. You went downstairs where you found your mom and dad on the couch watching TV and your mom was texting your grandma.
"Oh hey Maddie, did you get enough rest?" Your dad asked
"Yeah I think so" you said
"Well Zach woke up a few minutes ago and went to take a shower because we at going to go to your grandparents house and visit with yalls family since you're back in town" your mom said
"Ugh sounds like so much fun" you said sarcastically
"Just go get ready, we have to be there by 4:30" your mom said so you went upstairs to your room and kept your hair in it's natural waves. You put on light natural makeup. You decided to wear a pair of skinny jeans, a T-shirt and some Nike Air Force 1. You then went downstairs to find Zach sitting on the couch so you went and joined him.
"I don't want to go" You said
"Me neither" Zach replied
"Everyone is gonna be asking me about me and Jack and then they're gonna ask me why I haven't started photography and everything and ugh" you said and put your face in your hands
"Well they're gonna be wondering why I don't have a girlfriend and the cousins are gonna make fun of me for it and then their gonna be talking about all the new music which I can't talk to anyone about except for the boys and you, mom, and dad" Zach added
"This just kinda sucks, I hate visiting Dads side of the family, maybe we can just leave early and say we're jet lagged" you said and Zach agreed
Your mom and dad soon came to the living room and said it was time to leave. You and Zach groaned and then got into the car. It took about 15 minutes to get to your grandmas house. You finally arrived and all of your family from your dads side ran out side and Zach groaned
"I feel like I just pulled up in the tour bus and all the fans are coming to see me" Zach said
"They'll get better once we're inside, they're just happy to see you two" your mom said
You and Zach groaned and got out of the car and gave everyone hugs. Everybody was asking how LA had been and what you had been up to. You and Zach decided to just not talk about too much until you got inside so you didn't have to repeat everything 1000 times. You finished greeting everyone and then went inside and sat on the couch beside Zach. Several of your little cousins came and sat in yalls lap. After everyone got settled in their chairs, the questions started coming in.
"So Zach how's the music?" Your aunt carol asked
"Oh it's going really good" Zach replied not able to say much due to rules
"Well when is the next one coming out?" Your aunt asked
"Oh um, I'm actually not allowed to say until closer to time, it's one of our big rules" Zach said
"Oh...okay" Your aunt replied making everything super awkward and silent but your other aunt, Aunt Shay, soon changed the topic
"So Maddie, how's your photography doing?" Your aunt shay said
"Oh, I actually haven't started photography yet, because I started a YouTube channel where I post covers and it gets the money I need, but I am going to do photography eventually or atleast as a side job for fun" you said and your aunt gave you a look
"So you moved to La to become a photographer but you're not even doing photography?" Your aunt said confused
"Yes but my music does better since I'm in LA because I can get help from the boys" you replied
"Who are the boys?" Your grandma asked
"Oh Zach's band mates"
"Oh" your grandma said and then your Aunt Carol came back with more questions
"So Maddie, I saw a picture of you and a guy, are you two dating?" Your aunt Carol asked
"Oh umm yeah we are, but we are only telling our family's and close friends, we don't want the public to know yet" you said
"Aww how'd you two meet? What's his name?" She asked
"Oh, well, his name is Jack and he's in the band with Zach, so when I visited for spring break, we just got close and he's liked me for some time but hasn't been able to tell me or anything" you said
"Oh, aren't Zach's band mates all older than him?" Your Aunt Shay asked
"Well the oldest one is almost 3 years older but Jack is just a little bit over a year older, it's not much" you said as your aunts judged you silently
"Well I think y'all are cute, I've seen some pictures and I love it" Your grandma said making you feel better
"How does Zach feel about it?" Aunt Shay asked and looked at Zach
"Well at first I hated it but after a few talks, I decided that it was fine and Jack is really nice and I could tell Maddie liked him a lot so I'm good with it now" Zach replied and you smiled
"Oh well that's good" aunt carol said
Eventually the adults started talking about adult things and your cousins started asking you and Zach to come outside and play. You and Zach decided to go outside and play Wiffle ball with them. Your grandma had a perfect area for playing wiffle ball and you and your cousins always play it at every family event. It was sort of a fun little tradition.
