"Carrie, how's the preparation?"

"It was fine, Mom. Nakausap ko na rin po yung mga design suppliers as I assure the quality of their products."

"Good to know. Make sure everything's perfect. We already booked a ticket. Isang linggo na lang."

A huge smile was plastered in my face. I miss both of my parents. Narito ngayon sina Rose at Luigi sa mansyon. They're helping me to pick out guests. While Nate's busy practicing. Mauuna ang kanilang laban kaysa sa debut ko.

"Do you want to talk to your Dad?" Nagulat ako sa sinabi ni Mommy. Bumungad si Daddy sa video at agad nagbadya ang mga luha sa aking mata.

"Dad!! I miss you!" I said through the phone.

"I miss you more, my princess." Wrinkles are visible in his face. Halatang masyado na siya nagrerely sa work. I couldn't blame him, he really is a hard-working man.

"We'll talk about your plans on college when we got home." Tumango ako sa sinabi niya.

"Carrie, I'll drop the call. May pupuntahan kami ng Dad mo." Tumango ako. At least, they called right? That's what matters.

Naputol ang tawag at at agad kong pinuntahan sila Rose at Luigi na nasa veranda na nakatutok sa kanilang mga phone.

"Ano ba?! Tagal na nating di nakakapagbonding tapos magpophone lang kayo."

"Ayan na, kahiya naman sa prinsesa!" sabi ni Rose at nilapag ang phone. Meanwhile, Luigi's just silent.

"Uy! Tahimik ka?" Luigi flashed a smile. I felt like something's wrong but I shrug it off. Knowing Luigi, he'll open up kung mayroon man.

"I am pretty impressed sa mga nagoorganize ng debut mo. Like hindi ka hassle! Unlike mine." Rose said.

"I owe them a lot. Napaka attentive nila. The party would be surely a successful one!"

"Bet's on that. So, what's your plan? Kailan mo sasabihin kela Tita El about you and Nate. Aren't you afraid na umalis din si Nate ng bansa?"

Nagulat ako nang biglang inopen ni Luigi ang topic na iyon. Ofcourse, there are times that I think of that. Kaya kakausapin ko na rin sila Mom about that after I tell them that Nate and I are together.

"What will you do then, Carrie? Will you let him go?" Kumunot ang noo ko habang hinaharap si Luigi. I can feel the coldness in his voice.

"Why ... would I? " I said, almost out of breath.

"I'm just saying. Ilang buwan pa lang naman na kayo. I bet doon din pupunta yon."

"Huy, Luigi! Bakit ang seryoso mo? Akala ko ba boto tayo kay Nate ha?"

"I'm just saying. After all, hindi pa rin alam ni Carrie kung bakit nga ba nandito si Nate."

"Luh! Dyan ka na nga! Ang nega mo! Tss. Kita mo ba mga mata ni Nate pag tinitignan si Carrie. SANA ALL!" Hinila ako ni Rose patungo sa kusina. Natameme ako sa mga sinabi ni Luigi. Habang kumukuha si Rose ng mga pagkain galing fridge, biglang tumunog ang aking phone.

"Sagutin ko lang."

"Okidoks." Tumungo ako sa veranda. I glanced at Luigi in the living room. He looks problematic. Wala lang siguro siya sa mood kaya siya ganoon.
