"Cara! Wake the fuck up! You are going to be late for your flight! Saan ka ba kasi pumunta kagabi?" I groaned as I felt a palm patting my cheek.
"Let me sleep! Just for five minutes, Harper!" tugon ko sa kaniya.
"I told you stop calling me by my name! Just chill, Harper.
Now get your ass up before I kill you!" she ranted as she motioned her hands towards me. I gave her a poker face and raised my middle finger.
"I really don't know if I should be happy about your improvement,Cara. You were a mess when you got here in Hawaii, but now, I'm not even so sure if I'd made you better or worse." I chuckled at her remark.
"I think you did a pretty good job." I bit my lip and threw a pillow right to her face. I heard her shrieked as I went to the dining room. Nakita ko ang nakahain na breakfast sa table, she's really good at cooking, unlike me.
"Here you go, princess."
"I told you not to call me that either." I said, grabbing a pancake from the plate. She flipped her hair and went to sit beside me.
"Edi, little girl na lang?" she batted her eyelashes as she smiled sweetly.
"Bitch." I replied as I gazed into her eyes.
"So much for your self-preparations, I think you're ready to go." she winked at me as I rolled my eyes for the second time this morning.
After Inay Fely and Itay Rene's death, I plunged into my own pit of despair. My grades dropped and I did not make it to the honor roll, I failed maintaining the required grade per subject. Eventually, Nate left the country after our talk, based from what Elise said.
Nate wished to talk before he left but I didn't gave him a chance to. Mas mabuti na ring ganoon. I moved on without closure, because it was the easiest way.
Meanwhile, I had to see a psychiatrist because of my eating disorder and depression. My parents were seriously worried about me, they told me to leave RiaDeVigo for good. I studied here in Hawaii with the degree of business ad. Yep, I didn't took Law. Because the last time I checked, hindi naging maganda ang nangyari noong sinunod ko ang gusto ko.
For the record, I was really devastated in the first two years. Heck, I did not even bother to get my mind straight. But because of Dad's persuasive skills, I gave school a shot. And that's where I met this girl who's eating a raisin muffin infront of me.
Meet Harper Williams, everyone. By the time we graduated, her family's company offered me a job. Kinuha ko agad iyon because it was a win-win situation, ayaw kong magtrabaho sa mga magulang ko, kasama ko sa iisang mansyon si Harper, and it would only take a drive downtown to get to the company.
