Chapter 9 - Jenga Tower

Hendery got bored eventually and started texting his friends to drink outside instead. Parties are cool and all but what he wanted right now are his real friends. That way, he won't feel uncomfortable with his surroundings and won't have to watch his words.

Even though they all work at the same hospital, sometimes he misses Yangyang and Xiaojun. Sometimes he feels like not pursuing nursing was a wrong decision. The thing being an RT is, you don't get to have all the medications. All you have are medications for inhalation.

Even though giving oral medications are simple and sometimes the relatives of the patient can handle it, giving respiratory medications have similar side effects and adverse effects. Nurses not only give oral medications that 10% might go wrong if you're not focused on the time and dose. Intravenous, intramuscular, and subcutaneous routes are so hard to do if the patient hates being punctured by a needle and when the relatives are too protective.

There's only one procedure to use needle for an RT, and that is extracting arterial blood gas. Hendery can use his charms with that most of the time. His famous lines are, 'Don't look at the needle, just look at me instead', and 'I promise it won't hurt. I'll be gentle'.

Now hearing those just makes females stay still and be a good girl. When it comes to guys, that's where his troubles are.

But all in all, he has no problems with the machines so far.

And lastly, ever since internship hexs never had a patienthe's reviving die in his arms. There are times where he got curious how it feels like to have your patiend die in your watch.

Unfortunately that's all Xiaojun has ever talked about. Apparently, he never experience someone survive when he's the BLS provider.

Their classmates used to say Hendery's a guardian angel while Xiaojun's the grim reaper. He misses that feeling.

Yangyang agreed to come but still no reply from Xiaojun. Maybe he's asleep or something. Hendery told Yangyang to proceed to his car and he'll be there in a second. He just needs to grab something.

Hendery was about to grab biscuits and chips from the buffet so all they need to buy are the drinks. He paid the contribution for this party why not get food? It's not like it's stealing.

Yangyang left Jungwoo and Kriesia right away. This was his escape. He's not planning to watch couples doing lovey dovey things anyway. Shame on Xiaojun for leaving him here.

Yangyang was never close with the senior staff because they always make fun of his pronunciation with some Korean words. Hexs only close with Xiaojun and the RT staffs because they're mostly needed in the ICU so sometimes when there are no patients in the ward, they would stay in the ICU and chat with them.

While walking towards Hendery's car, he noticed that a girl was crying near it. That's sad.

Is she okay?

"Excuse me miss, are you okay?" He asked.

That's right, Hyewon's still patiently waiting for Hendery.

Assuming that it was Hendery who just arrived, she made her sobs louder. "I just feel offended." She said without mentioning Xiaojun's name. She's only going to ruin his name once he stops chasing Minju.

Yangyang sat beside her when he finally knew that it's Hyewon. He's not really close to her since she doesn't talk to him much, plus, Hendery's always with her because she's still on training.

"It's cold outside though. Don't you have a ride?" He asked.

Hyewon shook her head. This is her chance to have an alone time with Hendery. She can ask him to buy alcohol so she can open up or something.
