Chapter Nine

Vanessa's Point of View:

Friday. The day had finally come, the day that I would be going out with Luke. At school earlier this week, I told my friends all the details. Everything was fine with them now, after Beth apologized, we all just went back to how things were before the party.

So now, Kendra, Addison, and Bethany were at my house helping me get ready for the date. I was extremely nervous, but also really excited. Luke wouldn't tell me exactly where we were going, but he told me it wasn't anything fancy, so I should dress casual.

"Hmm. Black or blue jeans?" Bethany asked, as she grabbed the clothes from my closet.

"Well first she needs a top, something that'll match one of those pairs," Kendra grinned.

As I straightened my naturally wavy hair, I laughed to myself as my friends had trouble picking out an outfit for me.

"Okay we got it!" Addison clapped, "Vanessa, try both of these outfits on. Whichever one looks better, you can wear."

I rolled my eyes playfully and laughed. "I love how you guys are doing this for me,"

Bethany shrugged. "Yeah, yeah. Now try these on!"

As the outfits were thrown at me, my friends left the room so I could change. Shutting my door, I tried on the first outfit.

A pair of black skinny jeans from Rue 21, with a plain neon pink v-neck also from Rue 21. And for shoes, my casual silver sparkly vans. Plus, a white jacket from Hollister.

The second outfit, was a pair of navy blue skinny jeans from American Eagle, with a long sleeved white lace top from Aeropostale. The shoes were my black uggs.

Going with the first outfit, I called my friends back into my room.

They all screeched as they saw me. "Your ass looks great, Hemmings is gonna go crazy." Kendra smirked and slapped my bum playfully.

I smiled like an idiot and fell down on my bed. "He's picking me up in an hour I'm so nervous,"

"Don't be," Addison smiled, "You guys have hung out so many times before, this is just gonna be like one of those times,"

"I guess," I shrugged.

"I can't believe all of this happened so fast though," Kendra grinned.

"I know.. We hated each other one day and the next.. We were friends with benefits." I laughed.

"Friends with benefits?" Beth looked at me wide eyed.

I laughed loudly. "Friends with benefits without the sex, just lots and lots of making out.. If that even makes sense,"

"Oh my god," Addison laughed.

Until Luke came over to get me, the girls helped me finish getting ready. Kendra did my makeup a little differently, making a cat eye with eyeliner. I looked a little different, and I liked it. I actually liked how I looked, for once.

After my makeup was finished, I heard my mom call my name, telling me to come downstairs. She apologized about calling me a terrible daughter, and I was slowly forgiving her. She knew what was happening with Luke, and she seemed happy for us.

Walking down the steps with my friends following behind, I saw Luke standing at the entrance of my house. He looked amazing, with his blonde hair pushed into a quiff, and his outfit on point. He had on a pair of black skinny jeans, and a black Nirvana shirt.

"You look.. Amazing," he told me as I walked towards him, his mouth agape.

I blushed and looked him up and down. "So do you,"
