Chapter Twelve

Vanessa's Point of View:

Thursday. Homecoming was tonight. I was extremely excited, I was literally shaking when the final bell rung at school. Addison was coming over to get ready with me, while Kendra and Bethany got ready at Kendra's house. We were all going to meet there, as a group.

Addi and I ran out of school and into my moms car, that was parked out front.

"I'm so excited that I'm shaking!" Addison squealed.

"Me too!" I smiled, jumping up and down in my seat.

My mom laughed. "Chill,"

"I can't! I've been waiting so long for this day to come and now it's finally here!" I laughed, covering my face to hide the redness.

"You're crazy," my mom commented, with a smile on her face.

I shook my head, still having that goofy smile on my face. As soon as we reached my house, Addi and I ran up to my room.

"Okay we have four hours until homecoming. You wanna start getting ready now?" Addison asked, while getting our dresses and shoes out of my closet.

"Now!" I squealed.

"Damn Vanessa, chill," she laughed.

I sat down on my bed, trying to calm myself down. "Okay I'm calm. Let's do this," I grinned.

Going through my bin where all my hair supplies are, I grabbed my curling iron and plugged it in. Addison took my straightener and plugged that in.

Addi always wore her hair in it's natural waves, and it was going to look absolutely kick ass while straight.

When the curling iron was completely heated, I started to curl my natural waves. It took awhile, because I had straightened my hair today. This curling iron wasn't the best, so it was hard to get the curls perfect and on point.

By the time Addi was done with her hair, I was still doing mine. Panicking, I looked at the time on my phone. "What if I'm not finished in time for homecoming?"

Addison laughed. "Vanessa, we still have three hours. You still have plenty of time to get ready."

I sighed in relief. "I hope you're right,"

She looked at me, a smirk on her face. "I always am right,"

Laughing, I continued to curl my hair. By the time I was done, my hair was in a bunch of small, bouncy curls. Looking in the mirror, I smiled. I liked how I looked so far, and it wondered if Luke would too.

Moving on to makeup, I put on a small amount of foundation, along with lipgloss, eyeliner, mascara, and silver sparkly eyeshadow, to match my dress and shoes. After my face was complete, Addison grinned.

"Hemmings is for sure gonna go crazy when he sees you!" she squealed.

"I hope so," I smiled.

"I know so," Addi winked.

Laughing, I moved closer to Addison, helping her with her makeup. As soon as that was done, I grinned at how amazing she looked. Her eyeliner was different this time, it was on her top and bottom lid. She had on a small amount of red lipstick, to match her red ruffly dress and red flats.
