Chapter Fourteen

Vanessa's Point of View:

Monday morning. I held my hair back as I puked over the toilet. I needed a reason to stay home from school, so I was forcing myself to puke. My mom wouldn't let me stay home unless I was sick, so hopefully she believed this lie.

Luke hasn't tried to talk to me all weekend, and I don't know why, but it's bothering me. I did tell him I wanted nothing to do with him, but still, he could at least try.

Sitting up against the tub, I called for my mom.

"Mom!"

Seconds later, she came rushing into the bathroom. "Oh honey what happened?"

I held my stomach, acting like it was hurting. "I feel sick,"

She came over and sat beside me. Putting her hand on my head, she sighed. "You feel a little warm. Why don't you go back to bed, I'll call you off of school,"

I half smiled and closed my eyes. "Okay,"

Flushing the toilet, I washed the puke off of my face and went back to my room. Before going back to sleep, I sent Kendra a text.

To Kendra:

Won't be in school today. Let the others know?

From Kendra:

Whyyy are u ok ?

To Kendra:

Sick

From Kendra:

Damn . I'll let the others know loool . Want me to tell Luke too ?

Face palming, I realized that I didn't even tell Kendra or Addison about Luke. I didn't talk to them all weekend, hell, I didn't talk to anyone all weekend. Bethany was the only one that knew.

To Kendra:

Oh uhm.. About him.. We kinda aren't a thing anymore :/

From Kendra:

WHAT Y SINCE WHEN TF

To Kendra:

I'll explain later.. Or you can just ask Beth.

From Kendra:

OMG . But anyways igtg bc I gotta finish getting ready for school bye :p

Without texting back, I put my phone down, and fell back asleep.

"But Vanessa.." Luke whined, trying to pull me into the freezing cold water at the beach.

"Not going in there. Nope. Don't feel like freezing to death," I laughed.

Crossing my arms over my chest, I grinned. "Aw is little Lukey sad?"

He rolled his eyes. "You're annoying sometimes,"

"So are you," I smiled and shook my head.

"But you're adorable so it makes up for it," he smiled, showing those perfect teeth of his.

Smiling, I looked down at the ground. Luke walked closer and put his arms around my waist, as I put mine around his neck. I jumped up, wrapping my legs around his waist.
