Chapter Twenty-Two

Luke's Point of View:

I wiped the sweat off my forehead as I walked off stage with the guys. We just performed in front of about three hundred people, and I thought we did pretty good. We performed a few songs from our EP called Somewhere New, an EP that just came out.

Heartbreak Girl, Unpredictable, Try Hard, Out of My Limit, and our cover to I Miss You, were the songs we performed.

Walking backstage, I smiled as I saw Vanessa sitting there, a grin covering her features. She ran over to me and jumped into my arms, leaving kisses on the skin of my neck.

"Best show you guys have done yet. The new songs sound so good live." She breathed against my skin.

I backed away from her a little, so I could see her face. She was smiling, and I'm pretty sure I was too. "Thanks," I said.

Nessa inched her face closer to mine, and pressed her lips gently against mine. It started out as just a simple peck, but our heads tilted, and our lips collided even more. Before things could get heated, Vanessa pulled away, causing me to groan.

"Why'd you stop?" I whined.

The beautiful girl in front of me laughed cutely. "Because your mom is right over there."

I turned my head, and there she was. My mom was sitting on a chair on her phone, seeming completely out of it.

"She's not watching us," I grinned.

Nessa rolled her eyes playfully. "Watching us or not, she might look up from her phone and see something. I don't think she would appreciate us making out right in front of her."

I chuckled, and kissed her forehead. "Later then,"

She nodded. "Later,"

My mom stood up from her spot, and me and Nessa pulled apart, but we stood close together.

"You guys ready to go?" My mom asked, which I nodded to.

I said bye to Ashton, Calum, and Michael, as Ness said bye to Bethany, Addison, and Kendra. We walked out of the building with my mom, and quickly got into the car. As soon as we got back to our houses, I grabbed Vanessa's hand, hoping she would come over for a little bit. I didn't want to let her go just yet.

"Luke," she yawned, walking slower.

"What?"

"I'm tired, I wanna go home." She whined.

"Nessa," I whined back.

"Luke,"

"Please don't go yet," I said, pulling her into my room, and closing the door.

"Fine," she half smiled, and joined me on my bed.

I smiled, and wrapped my arms around her, pulling her onto my lap. She relaxed instantly, resting her head in the crook of my neck, and wrapping her arms around my torso.

"I love you," I whispered into the darkness of my room. The only light showing was the moonlight coming in through the window.

"I love you too," Nessa said, leaving a light kiss on my neck. "This is cliché as fuck." She pointed out with a laugh.

"How?" I laughed.

"We're cuddling, and saying I love you in a room that's dark, the only light showing is the moonlight. If this doesn't just scream cliché, then I don't know what does," she explained.

"I like it," I bit my lip to keep from smiling so big.

"So do I," she laughed cutely, and kissed my neck again.
