Chapter Eight

Luke's Point of View:

"I don't know man," Michael shrugged, as Calum did the same.

"Why is this so hard? It shouldn't be this hard," I rolled my eyes at them, since we were making no progress.

"How about you try coming up with something." Michael pointed out, making my eyes go wide.

"I've got it," I grinned.

"What?" Michael and Calum said in sync.

"Five seconds of summer," I smirked and high fived myself, then laughed at how lame that was.

"Holy shit," Calum's eyes went wide.

"That's perfect," Michael smirked.

"And all your guys's ideas sucked," I laughed, earning a death glare from Michael.

"Michael's puppets didn't sound so bad," Michael told me, sounding serious.

Calum and I started bursting out laughing. "Who would want to listen to a band called Michael's puppets? That's lame as fuck,"

"You guys are mean," Michael pouted, earning another laugh from Calum and I.

"So what do we do first, in starting a band?" Calum asked, having no thought in this whole idea.

"Post a video on YouTube? I already have a channel with a decent amount of views, we can post it there," I suggested.

"How many views you got?" Calum asked.

"A couple hundred." I answered.

"Alright, let's do this then," Calum grinned, and grabbed his acoustic guitar that was leaning against the wall.

After a bunch of tries at making a video, we finally got one. All of us singing, while Calum played guitar, and Michael using a maraca type thing. The song we did was Next To You by Justin Bieber and Chris Brown, and I think we did a pretty decent job. I really hoped this whole band thing would work out, it's a dream of mine to become famous.

After the video was posted, we watched it all the way through.

"I messed up the cords," Calum sighed.

"My voice sounded like shit," Michael said, while wide eyed. "Is this band thing even going to work out?"

"Guys, it's only our first video, we don't have to sound perfect." I told them.

"True," Michael shrugged. "But anyway, I should get home, I have a fuck load of homework,"

"Same here," Calum laughed. "Later Luke."

And with that, they left my house. Plopping down on my bed, I groaned. I was bored now, and I still had the rest of the day to do something.

It had been hours since I saw Vanessa, last time I saw her was earlier today, when we got back from the lake. We still had to finish our project for English, maybe she'd be up for that.

Deciding to text her, I waited awhile for her to text back. It had been a half hour and I still didn't hear from her, so I decided to stop by her house to see if she wasn't busy. It's normal for me to just stop by her house, her family didn't mind it, and now that her and I were kind of friends, she wouldn't mind it either.

Knocking on the front door to Nessa's house, I waited until someone answered. Seeing the door slowly open, I was greeted by Joey.

"Hey, you here for my sister?"
