(Y/n)'s POV
Today was quite possibly the weirdest day ever. It started out as normal as every other day is: I woke up, got dressed, ate breakfast, and brushed my teeth and hair. But when noon came around, my world got flipped upside-down. The doorbell had rang, and when I got there, there was a giant box. Nothing else was there; no delivery person, no note, no nothing. Written all over the box was "BE CAREFUL" and "FRAGILE". I tried to pick up the box, but something started to move around. I decided to just open it up right there. When I opened it, I almost screamed.
Inside of that box, there was a baby fox.
It looked up at me with wide eyes, as if it were giving me puppy dog eyes. I slowly crouched down to get a closer look at the fox. It just stared back, tilting its head slightly. It got up from it's sitting position and came as close to me as the box would let it. My heart was racing, still terrified of the creature before me. Yet, I was too intrigued to run away from it. I slowly reached out my hand, about to pet its head. The fox just stared at my hand. When my hand finally touched the fox's head, it closed its eyes and... purred? The sound was like a soft moan of happiness. I continued to pet the fox's head, enjoying the soft hair it had. I decided to move closer and pick it up. The fox looked scared when I stood up, but then calmed down when it noticed I was going to pick it up.
Once picked up, it nuzzled itself into my arms and closed its eyes. I took the fox inside my apartment and put it down on the couch while I took the rest of the contents of the box inside. There was a couple toys, a collar, and a leash.
I looked over to the fox on my couch. It was curled up, sleeping. I decided to put the collar on it and examine the fox some more. On the plaque of the collar was the name "Jeongin". So it's a boy? I shrugged and put the collar on him.
"Jeongin? Is that your name?" The fox immediately perked up, its ears twitching slightly. It looked at me and... nodded.
"Nice to meet you Jeongin. I'm (Y/n)." I said, holding out my hand. I didn't know what to expect Jeongin to do, but he came to me and placed his face on my hand. I smiled, and it seemed like Jeongin smiled back.
When dinner time came around, I didn't know what to do. Can Jeongin eat human food? He didn't come with any food, so what should I give him? I opted to slice up an apple and some carrots for him. When I put his plate down in front of him, he sat down and looked at me.
"Are you not hungry?" I asked. He pushed his plate towards me. I tilted my head in confusion. He then picked up an apple slice with his mouth, came up to me, and dropped it onto my lap. He then went back to his plate and picked up another apple slice, this time eating it.
"You want me to eat with you?" His tail started to wag back and forth. I laughed and got my food ready, giving back the apple slice he gave me. I put my food down at the table and picked up Jeongin and his food. I placed both on the table so we could eat together. Jeongin stared at me, eating happily.
