(Y/n)'s POV
"The Yule Ball is a tradition of the Triwizard Tournament. It is an occasion for students from the three schools to socialize with each other and -I daresay- make friends with each other. As the headmaster of you buffoons, it is my responsibility to make sure you all don't make fools of yourselves. It is my duty to teach you how to dance." Headmaster McGonagall lectured. She continued, but I tuned it out. I stared at all of the Hogwarts students in the room. My eyes fell upon one person. Kim Seungmin. Slytherin. Extremely smart. The Hogwarts Champion for this year's Triwizard Tournament. He was staring off into space, obviously bored from McGonagall's lecturing. When McGonagall said "dance partner", he immediately looked at me, only to swiftly look away. When McGonagall asked us to practice, Seungmin went to Ryujin, the Pureblood Princess. My heart felt heavy as I searched for someone else to practice with.
"(Y/n)!" Jeongin yelled. I smiled softly and walked up to Jeongin.
"I'm sorry that Seungmin doesn't have the balls to dance with you." He said quietly.
"It's fine. He has a reputation to uphold." I whispered. Jeongin just huffed at my statement before putting his hands on my waist and following McGonagall's directions.
That night, I snuck out of the makeshift Ravenclaw dorms and into an empty classroom in the foreign school. I could slightly make out the contents of the room by the slight moonlight that poured in from the windows.
After a couple of minutes, a figure quickly came into the room, closing and locking the door behind them.
"Hey (Y/n)..." The figure said.
"Hey Min." I replied monotonously. He came up to me and wrapped his strong arms around me.
"I'm so sorry." He whispered into my hair. I returned the embrace, but I couldn't say anything. I would be lying if I told him that it was fine. He was essentially dating another girl while sneaking around with me.
As if reading my thoughts, he said, "I promise, Ryujin means nothing to me." I pulled away and looked straight into his eyes.
"Then why do you act like a couple with her?" I asked. I was tired of hearing how "perfect" Seungmin and Ryujin would be. I hated that I couldn't be open with my relationship with Seungmin just because he's a pureblood and I'm a muggle-born.
"(Y/n), you know that I have to maintain my reputation..." I just sighed, and before I knew it, my lips were moving without me even realizing it.
"So your reputation is more important than our happiness?"
Seungmin fell back a bit, startled that I would say that.
"That's not fair to say." He started, his voice straining.
