(Y/n)'s POV

"Mom, my friend Chuu says that there's this really good teacher in the town. She says he's really nice and teaches her a lot. Can I go there?" My little sister, Vivi, asked our mother over tea and biscuits. Mother looked over at Vivi skeptically, adjusting her crown. It was a habit she had whenever she was contemplating something.

"But Vivi, you already have a private tutor here. Why do you need a second teacher?" Mother reasoned.

"I want to be around friends. Plus, Chuu has a private teacher too, and she said she learns more from this teacher than her tutor." Vivi bounced up and down in anticipation, hoping for a positive answer. Mother thought for a bit, sipping her tea.

"And this is Princess Chuu that you are talking about?" Vivi nodded.

"Then alright. You may go to this teacher. Your sister will take you there each morning." I opened my mouth to protest, but Mother cut me off with a sharp look. I was perfectly fine with my daily routine of archery, reading, and exercising, but I know that I won't win this battle.

"Thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you!!" She exclaimed, running off.

The next day, Vivi and I dressed in commoner clothes before setting out to this teacher.

"Remember, you can't tell anyone that you're a princess. If you do, you won't be able to come back." I told Vivi sternly. She nodded vigorously.

We stopped in front of a cracked building. A rickety staircase led up to a second floor, which supposedly was where the classroom was. We walked up and knocked on the door.

"Hello?" A deep voice asked from inside. The door opened to reveal a strikingly handsome boy. He seemed to be a couple years older than me, with fluffy black hair and soft eyes. He looked from me, to Vivi, and then back to me. When I realized I hadn't said anything, a light coat of pink dusted my cheeks, and I was quick to introduce us.

"Hello, I am (Y/n), and this is Vivi. We were told by a friend that there is a teacher here, and we were wondering if we could enroll Vivi in classes." I said to him. He smiled.

"Chuu told you, right? She always tells me about her best friend Vivi." He said, crouching down slightly, talking to Vivi. She giggled.

"Yep! She kept telling me about this amazing teacher she goes to." Vivi beamed.

"Well, you've come to the right place. I'm Mr. Park, your teacher." I had to keep my mouth from dropping. Him? A teacher? At such a young age? I had to remind myself that many families in the town could not afford going to a proper school, and that anyone willing to teach, no matter their age or experience, was good enough for parents.

"Come in, we'll be starting class soon." He said to Vivi, who ran inside, immediately finding Chuu. He then turned his attention to me. Now that Vivi was gone, his cheeks flushed as he looked at me, and he scratched the back of his neck.

"Class usually takes around three to four hours. It's everyday, starting after lunch." He told me. I just nodded.

"How much do we have to pay you?" I asked him. His eyes widened.

"Oh, I don't charge anything. I really enjoy teaching these kids. Most of the parents can't afford the regular school fees, so I decided to set up this class." He explained. Yet again, my jaw almost dropped. He taught these kids everyday for free?

"You're incredibly kind." I told him, making his cheeks darken even more.

"Would it be okay if I stayed for today? I won't bother you or the students; I just want to observe." I asked. His eyes lit up.
