(Y/n)'s POV
It was a rare occasion for me and Mingyu to have a moment for each other. Between him being in the practice room 24/7 and me being on set all day, we were never in our apartment at the same time. Our schedules never lined up; he would have a concert one day, I'd have a movie premiere the next. He'd have a photo shoot with Vogue Korea, I'd have a long day of shooting scenes. Most people are shocked that we're still together because of this. Even I'm surprised that we've been going strong for 3 years now.
"(Y/n)?" I heard a shocked, yet excited, voice yell from the doorway. I looked up from my spot on the couch to see Mingyu. I quickly got up and ran towards him. He met me halfway and picked me up for a bone-crushing hug.
"What are you doing awake?! It's two in the morning, and you have an audition tomorrow!" Mingyu scolded, concern written all over his face. I smiled at him before pecking his lips.
"I'll be fine. Plus, the audition isn't until the evening." I reassured. Before Mingyu could protest, a loud grumble could be heard from in between us. My brows furrowed as I looked at Mingyu.
I asked, "Did you eat today?" as I walked toward the kitchen. He followed along, rifling through the cabinets before grabbing various baking supplies.
"How about our banana chocolate chip pancakes?" He asked with a lopsided grin. It was a recipe we accidentally made while tipsy and craving chocolate and bananas. I laughed at him before grabbing the bananas and chocolate chips from the fridge.
As I washed my hands, I heard soft music begin to play in the background before Mingyu joined me to wash hands. We began to bake, the silence filled with the soft music playing from the speaker.
After I finished chopping up the bananas and adding them to the batter, I looked at Mingyu, who was mixing everything together. I smiled at him, taking a minute to enjoy his side profile. He looked equally handsome and soft. His hair was a bit ruffled and messy, and his eyes were focused on the batter he was mixing. His bottom lip was caught between his teeth in concentration, and his muscles were prominent through his tight, white t-shirt.
"Enjoying the view?" He teased, not looking up from the batter. I leaned against the counter, still raking my eyes up and down his figure.
"I always am." I teased back. He chuckled before putting the batter aside. He then came up to me and wrapped his arms around my body. He started to sway to the music as I put my hands on his broad shoulders. I leaned against his firm chest, swaying lightly along with him. We stayed like this for a while, just enjoying each other's presence. Mingyu then took one of my arms and started to twirl me. I laughed and went along with him, alternating between swaying, twirling, and goofy waltzing. Eventually, our dancing was interrupted by another loud grumble.
"Looks like I'm not the only one who's hungry." Mingyu teased, pecking me on the nose before cooking the batter.
I went up behind him and put my arms around his torso, humming into his back and swaying to the music.
We finally ate our pancakes after another little dance session. We headed to our bedroom and laid down, facing each other with a couple centimeters in between.
"I love you (Y/n)." Mingyu whispered, pulling me into a soft kiss.
I mumbled against his lips, "I love you too, Mingyu."
It's nights like those that make up for our busy, conflicting schedules.
