Chapter 29

Tris POV:

I see a man start to run away. Tobias starts to run after him. "Wait Tobias! You don't have a weapon!" I yell. "Don't need one!" He says picking up speed. He's now going almost twice as fast as the man. He catches up in a matter of seconds and tackles the man. Zeke runs after him, Daniel taking care of Christina's wound. Marlene follows, and I try to limp after them. When I finally catch up I see them surrounding the man. He has a black cape with a hood covering his face.

Tobias takes the mans gun and points it at his head. Zeke takes off the mans cape and I see a familiar face. Al.

"What are you doing here!" Tobias yells. "Just kill me-" Al starts. "He said what are you doing here? Why did you shoot Christina?" Zeke yells. "I didn't mean to shoot Christina! I was aiming for Tris." He admits. My heart sinks. What does he want from me?

"Why did you want to shoot Tris?" Tobias asks. "Oh don't be stupid, you can obviously see the death serum didn't work on her!" Al says. "Your the one who did this to me!" I yell pointing to my cruches and my legs. I plunge towards him but Marlene stops me.

"Calm down, it's fine, your gonna hurt yourself." She says. "As long as I hurt him!" I say jumping onto him. This time she doesn't stop me. I start to hit him with my cruches while balancing on my knees. Zeke and Marlene pull me up. Als face is now covering in bruises and blood. He deserved it. "What do you want from me?" I yell.

"Seriously? You don't get it, do you? You rejected me AND had higher rankings than me." He says. "Instead you went for the big scary trainer! Why because he's so strong? Because I'm WEAK? Well news flash! I'm not weak anymore, and neither is my army!" He says. He starts to struggle. Tobias shoots him in the arm and his screams fill the night.

"Guys well take care of Al, you two go have fun." Zeke says. "Are you sure?" Tobias asks handing Zeke the gun. "Yes, please go, we'll be fine." Zeke says taking the gun and pointing it at Al again. "Ok..." Tobias says turning around. I follow him back to Christina. "How is she?" I ask. "I got the bullet out, and she should be fine, but just in case I'm driving her to the hospital. Who's the guys that shot her?" Says Daniel. "Al" Tobias says. Christina gasps, and then looks angry. "Ruin him." Is all she says as Daniel helps her limp to the car. That's the same thing Tobias said when they tried to throw me into the chasm.
