Chapter 19~ The Break Down

***Liam's POV***

Beep.     Beep.     Beep.

"She is stabilizing!" A nurse yelled. The doctors continued to work and I just sat there, on the ground, panting for air. The tears were still streaming down my face and I could hear Lily's loud sobs. Derek was no where to be found. I gripped my head trying to block everything out. My mind was racing and I couldn't take it all in.

Natasha had died.

But now her monitor was beeping steadily and the doctors were starting to slowly dissipated as things were becoming more and more under control. Time passed and I just stared at her perfect face. It was cold and pale. He lips looked like stone and her cheeks were a pale, sickly color. Seeing her like this made me devastated. I wanted to take her in my arms, kiss her and make her all better. I wanted to go back to the way things were. But that was impossible. I broke her heart. I knew that. And now all I could do is wish that one day she will forgive me. But until then I will continue to love her with every single ounce of my being.

After god knows how long, I decided to stand. I walked over to the couch where Lily had found herself and sat  beside her. She was staring vacantly at the hospital bed and I pulled her into a hug. She didn't fight it. As she sobbed silently and almost emotionless into my shirt, I let my mind wander.

Sometimes it is the littlest things that can change a person. A single unexpected twist that can make you rethink everything you live for. It can make you regret things and change your mind. It can make you realized what is truly important. For me it took a big thing. A heart wrenching painful think to watch but in the end it changed me. It was Natasha's death.

I don't think I could have gone on if the heart monitor haden't steadied. I need her more than words can describe and the last thing I am going to do is let anything stand in the way of us any longer. When she wakes up I will hold her and never let her go. When she wakes up...

***Derek's POV*** 

I dialed the phone hastily, my angry hands ready to crush the phone. My whole body was tense. I held it up to my ear and breathed deeply through a clenched jaw.

"Derek." The woman spoke.

"We had a deal. Keep him away from her for both of their own goods." I gritted my teeth.

"Well, she is in the hospital. What do you expect me to say to Liam? I'm just part of his management team! I don't have that much power!" She spoke as calmly as she could into the phone.

"Well I think its time he knew." 

"Knew what exactly?"

"Everything."

"Everything?!"

"Everything." 

***Liam's POV***

I was snapped out of my deep thought by the slam of the door. I looked over to find a completely worn out and mentally exhausted Lily fast asleep against me. How long had I been thinking? Or was I sleeping as well. It had been days since I had sleep.

"Mate!" Harry said slapping my cheek, shaking me out of my trance. I looked into his green eyes before my gaze found its way to Natasha. I took a deep breath. Niall, Louis and Zayn were huddled around the bed. Louis was sobbing and kept caressing her cheek. Zayn kissed her head and I felt my stomach drop. Seeing them this sad made me feel worse. "We have a gig in two hours!" He said with a whisper after realizing Lily was asleep. Harry picked her up off of me as if she was light as a feather and I saw her shift and bury herself in his chest. I ran my hands over my face. I completely forgot. 

The boys moved over to line up at the door almost orderly as I made my way over to Natasha's side. The last thing I wanted was to leave her now. But god only knows when she would wake up again. I kissed her forehead softly, lingering there longer than normal, not wanting to pull away. But as always, international pop stardom calls...

Holy Payne!

Liam Payne from the international sensation One Direction broke down on stage last night during their performance at the music festival. 5 songs in, during one of the boys more popular songs, Moments, Liam couldn't handle it. Some part of the song reportedly made Liam snap. He started crying right during the song. He tried to hide it but it clearly evident. Liam managed to make it to the end of the song but then walked off stage. The boys ended the show early and let the next band come on early. Now what  we are all left wondering is why?

Insiders say that Liam and Candi are still going strong but that is all we know regarding that topic. Liam was seen leaving the hospital a few hours before the gig but the source was unreliable. Could someone he know be in that hospital? We don't know yet but we hope we have answers soon.
