Chapter 21~ The Whole Truth Hurts

***Natasha's POV***

My heart was racing as I walked in the front door of the Crown hotel. My eyes scanned the lobby looking for signs to lead me to where I needed to go. People with places to go, walked with meaning all around the large lobby. I had a shy smile on my face as I walked over to the hallway and peered down it looking for the meeting rooms. A sign led me down the hallway to a series of meeting rooms labeled 1,2 and 3. I didn’t know which one Liam was in. That is until I heard a familiar voice on the other side of door numbered 3. I smiled. Just hearing his voice was comforting. Suddenly I was immersed in an uneasy feeling. It sounded like arguing. I slid down the wall next to the door and strained my ears to listen to what I never expected to be said.

***Liam's POV*** 

"Liam, I think it's time you knew the truth. About everything." Mr. Daniel, the head man said.

"The truth? I didn't know it before?" I felt nervousness come over me as I said those words.

"Natasha isn't who you think she is. Hell even she doesn't." The man said looking down at his files. I felt my eyebrows crinkle together in confusion and I looked over at Derek who's body was stiff and his line of sight was locked in his lap. I felt my body tense and I looked back at Mr. Daniel. 

"What do you mean?" I asked aggressively. 

"I mean. Natasha Brielle Devine isn't even Natasha Brielle Devine. Natasha Brielle Devine's real name is Destiny Kay Peters. Hollis Devine and Hope Johnson are not her real parents." I gave the man a dumbfound look. What?! That doesn't make sense. 

"So she was adopted?" I questioned Mr. Daniel.

"No Liam-" 

"Baby-napped." Derek said swiftly, cutting off Mr. Daniel looking up at me. I couldn't breathe. This had to be a joke, a lie, something. But no, it was the frightening truth. And in the next ten minuets the followed, every unexpected detail was revealed. 

***Natasha's POV***

I sat on the edge of the pier that was completely abandoned. I had my legs hanging over the edge of the old wood dock. My tips of my toes were slightly brushing the ice cold water. I looked out into the open water and could see the sun's reflection and the way the light danced off every molecule. It was so beautiful. I tried to hold my breath. To hold in everything. I just wished I would forget. I'm choosing to forget. 

I heard the footsteps behind me and bit my lip before gaining the strength to talk. 

"How did you find me?" I said more like a statement than a question. He sat next to me, Close enough to give me comfort but not far enough to leave me alone. 

"Well, the nurse called during the meeting. Derek insisted we search all these places but I had a gut feeling I knew where you were. I obviously guessed correctly. You dropped this outside the meeting room door and I found it." Liam said placing Harry's note to me in my lap. I looked at it before placing it aside. I refused to make any eye contact with him. "Natasha," Liam began, placing his hand on mine. I snapped. 

"Don't say my-" I stood and walked over to the side. I swallowed, trying to contain my tears. I shook my head, wrapping my arms around my waist. "Is it true?" I whispered, closing my eyes.

"I... Yes." Liam said weakly. I heard him stand behind me. I turned around, feeling the corners of my mouth being torn downward. 

"My name isn't even Natasha. It's Destiny. My parents aren't my parents. I was stolen. My real mom is dead. My real dad is sick. My fake mom and dad are both dead. Derek is my brother." I smashed my lips together and squeezed my eyes shut, the tears draining. "Who the hell am I?" I breathed. Suddenly I felt his arms pull me into him. I rested my head on his chest and let the tears go silently. 

"You are the same beautiful, amazing girl everyone knows. You are you and that is all that matters. Everything is going to be fine." He comforted. I bit my lip and pulled away. I ran a hand through my hair, wiped the tears, and turned away. I took a few steps and sucked in a deep breath. I looked down at my feet. "What?" He said

"Stop." I whispered.

"What? Why?" He questioned with almost... anger.

"Because. I can't..." I trailed off and moved to walk away.

"I am so sorry. Please. Don't walk away. Please. I understand if-" 

"If what?!" I said whipping around. "Liam." The tears poured again.

"Natasha. I never stopped loving you. Not even for the slightest second. Not a moment passed by where i wasn't wanting you, missing you, thinking about you. I need you in my life. I am not going to let anyone or anything stand in the way of that anymore." His voice was firm, yet silk-like. I felt all different emotions all at once. But love was the most prominent of these feelings. I turned around, the tears burning as I looked at his beautiful face.

That was it.

I ran toward him jumping in his arms and pressing my lips to his. He lifted me up and I wrapped my legs around his waist as he held me close to him. My arms pulled his head into mine as my hands tangled in his hair. He deepened the kiss and I didn't hesitate. We pulled each other closer, unable to get enough of the other. I finally pulled back, us both out of breath and the sparks still fresh on the tips of our tongs. 

"Liam." I said placing my hands on his face and gently gliding my finger tips over his face. 

"Yes." He said letting his forehead rest against mine.

"I love you."

"I love you too."

Who am I? Natasha? Destiny? I can only be labeled by one thing. His.
