Chapter 12 - Jack And The Last Dance

     He took hold of my hand and wrapped his arm around my waist. It was just how Sebastian did it except he was much more gental about it. As soon as the music started to play we started to dance with me following his lead. I kept eye contact with him. It was hard not to. Those light blue eyes consumed me. They were close to Alois Trancy's eyes. "So (Your Name), are you having a better time with me then you then you were with the corner of the room?" He gave out a cute little laugh. "Y-Yea. Thank you for letting me have this dance even though I dont do much dancing." I lightened up and gave him a smile. There was silence between us. The music filled it but it seemed awkward with him. I didnt know what to say. "Sorry im so awkward. I can be shy." I said turning my gaze to the floor. Then I felt his thumb go to my chin and his pointer finger under my chin. He moved my gaze back to his. "Dont worry about it (Your Name). I think its cute. I see you're not a big fan of this atmosphere." He released me. "Lets go outside. I think it would be a nice place to have a chat." He gave me a smile. I nodded my head and we both headed outside to the garden.

Jack's P.O.V

   I lead her to the bench that was placed right in the middle of the garden. Her beautiful eyes were glowing in the moonlight. "(Your Name), like I said before you dont have to be shy around me. Here let me start off first. Im Jack Dexter and my favorite color Is blue. Whats yours?" She gave out a smile and a laugh. "Mines (Favorite Color). Hey can I ask you something? Like for a little advise I guess you could say?" She asked. I nodded to reasure her that I was there to listen. "Well ... what do you do when you feel lost and alone? Usually im not the type of person to be depressive and im not depressed but ive been letting things get to my head lately. I guess what im looking for is a breather. Someone familiar to talk to. Maybe some motivation." She asked looking deep in thought. "Well I dont know what you situation is but I think your problem is that you're thinking and looking into everything way to much. I think you should think a little less and enjoy the friends that you're surrounded by. Enjoy life even if its not going your way." I looked up at the sky then back at her. "I was kinda thinking the same thing. Thank you. Im glad I met you tonight. I cant just open myself up to anyone and feel comfortable about it. Acutually I dont like talking about myself with other people. Maybe we can hang out again sometime?" The sound of that made me a bit happy to hear. I feel like there is a bond, a connection between us. "I wonder if she is as childish as I am." I thought. I then poked her and stood up. "Tag you're it." I started to run. I looked behind me and she was right there tailing me with a huge grin on her face. "Thats not fair! Im wearing a dress!" I could hear her say with a chuckle. We ended up circling the Phantomhive manor. I eventually slowed down so she could tag me. I stopped and then I felt a shove from behind me. She was so strong that she ended up pushing me to the ground. I looked up and she stood there right before me breathing heavily. "That was fun. Oh and sorry for the rough shove." She lended me a hand and helped me up. "I agree. I must say you're quite strong but anyway (Your Name) can I tell you a secret now that we're buddys?" I asked. I feel like she already knows these exist. "Yea, Im listening." She replied. "Im a demon. Dont freak out! The reason im telling you this is because I know I can trust you and if you know it will make it alot easier on me. I also believe that you know another demon Iinside the manor. That Sebastian fellow right?" She looked suprised and speechless at first but then she went to her old happy self. "Y-Yea, Sebastian is but he my friend, I guess. When I first encountered him I was terrified but that changed when him and I started talking. Actually when we first met I wasnt myself. I wasnt behaving like myself but after two weeks of time to settle in im better and myself again." Her eyes sparkled when talking about him. "Were you scared when you first met me?" I asked with a smirk appearing on my face. She just stayed silent. It looked like she was thinking about it but she finally spoke up. "No, I wasnt. You're really friendly and nice. I dont have a reason to be afraid. At least I dont think I do." I intertwined my hand with hers. She ended up pushing my hand away and it surprised me greatly. "Oh im sorry. My apologies. To soon?" I asked feeling foolish. "Um, no, id just prefer if you didnt." I walked a little closer to her. "I respect that. Hey I was wondering if I could visit you tomorrow?" She stayed silent. She shook her head no. "May I ask why?" I asked loosing of my confidence. "Its not because of you I cant see you ... it because I have to work tomorrow all day everyday. Besides I dont think a few people I know would want you roaming around here at the Phantomhive manor." She shrugged and looked down at the ground. I wasnt ready to give up that easily. "Lets keep our meetings secret then. Ill come here at night and we can meet outside the manor. Would you be willing to take the risk with me ... friend?" The sparkle returned to her eyes. She gave me a smile and a nod. "Well I need to go. My friends are going to notice I had left. Ill see you tomorrow night okay?" She said. "Ill see you then." I answered. Then all I could see was the back of her walking away from me.

Your P.O.V

   I started to walk towards the manor door but before I had the chance to open it I felt I felt someone tap me on the shoulder. I spun around to see Sebastian standing behind me. My heart was racing from being with Jack and now seeing Sebastian he made it beat even faster. "Oh Sebastian, whats up?" I spoke up. I said it like nothing had happened. "Where have you been off to? What brings you out here? Ive been looking for you." I tried to remain calm. I was nervous simply because I know I shouldnt be sneeking around with Jack and getting attached to him. "I was just out here getting some fresh air. Im nota big fan of crowds." I replied. "Well I hope you would save me the last dance." He said putting his hand out towards me. Then I gave out a sigh of relief. "He doesnt know I was just with Jack. I dont know how he would feel about it." I thought. Without anything further I took his hand. He lead me inside in the middle of the ballroom. There were others there as well. The lights suddenly went dim and a spotlight was formed in the middle of the ballroom floor. Sebastian walked me towards it as the people around us decided to make room for us. It was as if he planned for all this to happen. My heart was racing once again. We finally met the middle of the room. He intertwined his hand in mine and put his arm around my waist pulling me close to were I was in an embrace. This time when the music started to play I lookdd him in the eyes locking his gaze in mine. He had a smirk on his face. I rolled my eyes. I didnt look at the floor and I followed the pattern correctly the hole way through. It was like it was just him and I in the room. Sebastian, me, and the music there dancing around in what seemed to be darkness. It was as if him and I were one. He then spun me around like a princess once more then bringing me into an embrace. I then realized that our dance was over "That was ... perfect." I thought. I gave him a smile and leaned in towards his ear and spoke. "Thank you, Sebastian."
