"Mommy, please..." I pleaded to her.

I want to discuss the truth about Felix's father. Sinabi ko na sa kanya na walang kasalang si Tatay Roldan. Naaawa ako at pati na rin sa sarili ko. I can't forget what happened yesterday. The sunset was exquisite and dazzling but my heart had been stabbed multiple times.

My unyielding emotions can break me into pieces. Kayang-kaya niya talaga ako na wasakin ng husto.

"I am tired, Ada," narinig ko ang malalim na paghinga niya at umupo sa swivel chair ng office.

"Not today."

But nothing can stop me from finding the truth. Lumapit ako sa table niya. Nakita ko ang paghilot niya sa sentido at kaunting pagpikit ng mga mata.

"Wala po siyang kasalanan. Please, ibalik niyo na po siya sa Anloague. I promise to be a good girl when I go there. I won't do it again. Just please..." wala na akong pakialam kung maubos man ang hininga ko sa pagmamakaawa.

Ang gusto ko lang ay bumalik si Tatay Roldan at makapagtrabaho muli. After all, this is my fault!

Her bloodshot eyes turned to me. Nakita ko ang pagngisi niya. Seconds later, she started to chuckle.

Napakunot ang noo ko.

"My dear, Ada. So innocent," bigla siyang tumayo sa kinauupuan at naglakad-lakad sa paligid ng lamesa. I saw a glass of champagne there. She quickly drink it and turned to me.

"That's the reason why people take advantage of you. Wake up! This world is full of lies and betrayal! Hindi mo dapat pinag-aaksayahan ng panahon ang hampas lupang iyon!" she continued as she gritted her teeth.

Galit ang namuo sa dibdib ko. Hindi ako makapaniwalang aabot sa ganito ang mga pananalita niya. She's turning to a vile person.

"Stop it! Do not entitle him as useless person. Nakita ko na masipag siya at ginagawa ang trabaho.Kaya wala po akong maisip na dahilan para tanggalin siya sa Anloague!" I argued.

Ito ang unang pagkakataon na nagsalita ako sa kanya ng ganito. Although there is fear in me, I just cant stand her vulgarity. I maintained my expression and show her that Im not terrified.

Pinatatag ko ang sarili kong mga tuhod ng lumapit pa siya lalo sa akin. There is a dangerous smirk at her face. I remained at mt place waiting for her. Tinititigan ko lamang siya.

"You don't know what you're saying, Ada," she caressed my face. "Mukhang nagayuma ka yata ng Primotivo na iyon."

"I'll do a-anything t-that you wish. Just please take him back to the plantation," I almost whispered the last words. Parang kinakapos ako ng mga salita sa mga tingin niya.

Tumagilid ang ulo niya at tumaas ang kilay. Then, she looked at me again.

"Anything? Are you sure?"

Kahit na ano! Napalunok na lamang ako. Ito lamang ang dahilan para maresolba ang problema ko.

"Yes, anything," I assured her.

Then, she smiled mockingly at me.

"You are not allowed to go in Anloague," her first request is too terrifying. But I cannot back out.

"But Dad said that I'm gonna handle it," hindi ko mapigilan ang pag-asa sa tono ko.

"That will be change. From now on, you'll be trained to be the President of El Montej. I'm sure you will like that."

El Montej is a famous clothing brand. Our company's designers are from different countries around Asia. Many of our designs are exported. In fact, our company is the biggest exporter of high-end clothing designs.
