She remained on the ship for three days, sailing ever further from America. Then, in the middle of traveling through Ireland, she switched out with another double. She took a plane to Athens, Greece before boating south to Chania on the island Kriti. She remained there for another three days, mostly waiting on paperwork, before leaving again on boat to Alexandria, Egypt. In Egypt she dyed her hair and donned colored-contacts before leaving, choosing to travel through Africa under the name of twelve different people, always dressed in a manner that alluded to her gender. If she had a particularly feminine name she dressed boyishly. If she had a boyish name she dressed femininely. She went over every step and turn before proceeding, always speaking neutrally, softly and with as thick of an American accident as she could produce. Every major city she stopped in she changed her hair, donned new eye-colors, changed her name, created a new temporary-personality; all for the sake of not leaving a trail.
Alexandria, Egypt through the Nile river, to Wadi Halfa, Sudan. Driving to the red sea and sailing to Saudi Arabia. Then taking a plane to Iran, driving down to Pakistan. Sailing again to India, only to drive to Nepal. Traveling through Thailand took longer than she hoped but it was done. Indonesia and the Philippines were joyous, many of the grandmothers knew with just a look that she wasn't the male she was masquerading as. They all took wonderful care of her and even gave her some tips on how to travel safely with her child in toe. Many of them didn't want her to go any further but after understanding that she was running away from her 'husband' the women left her be and simply helped her on her way, even sending a grandson or nephew to escort her to her designated escape route.
At the ripe week age of nine weeks, she was ready to call it quits and settle on the coast of china but she didn't. She picked up her bags and kept on traveling, planes were no longer an option for her through and that made things more troublesome. Her baby was safe and sound though and that was all she cared about, though every doctor she met expressly advised her to stop traveling and settle down before stress got the best of her. She drove and trained through China before finally reaching doc in Shanghai.
She met a wealthy young man there, she had been tempted to stay there with him. He seemed alright with her pregnancy, and had asked if they didn't settle together if he could still be in the child's life. He would even take the fall, say he was caught cheating and she deforced him for it. He was so sweet, willing to help her and take on all the blame. But again, she didn't stay. She continued her travels to South Korea, where she remained for two more months, changing her identity and appearance repeatedly before FINALLY heading to Japan.
She sent one simple text to her parents: "I'm home."
That's all she told them before throwing her phone into the yellow sea and boarding the ship to Japan. It was properly cruel to treat her parents so coldly. But when they first moved to America when she was ten, she had always fought with her parents about going home. Now, they would have peace of mind.
After all, Japan was a big country and she wasn't about to go to her childhood district. She was going to Minato prefecture, Tokyo city. Home of the number one Hero Academy in all of Japan: U.A. High. Properly stupid move with her criminal history but she knew if she stayed out of trouble, she'll be able to raise her child in peace not pieces.
