"How are the examinees?" the principle of U.A asked as he sat down at the meeting table, all his first-year teachers present.
"We've accepted forty-students in total, in the normal class," Snipe answered dully. "However, this year's Saki-Academy entrance is... fewer than usual."
"out of the ten open slots for their special class, how many are filled?" Nezu asked as he took his seat
"only eight," Aizawa answered.
"Hm, I suppose picking out our three shrewdest teachers for the Saki-Academy entrance-exams might've been a little harsh." Nezu said thoughtfully, tilting his head to the side.
"You forward us that Neon would be apart of the test," Aizawa crouched.
"She did not show at the exam," Higari informed Nezu with a dismissive wave of hand.
"She overused her quirk with that fight against the sludge villain and is currently fighting for her life." Sekijiro hummed as he leaned back in his seat. "I hate to admit it but she won't be able to be a hero if every use of her quirk puts into a coma.
"I can't believe you three were sent as the examiners for the Saki-Academies," Nemuri sighed heavily.
"oh yes, I forgot about that," Nezu smiled at his teachers. "actually Neon's doctors have found a cure for her troublesome quirk setbacks. It's not a traditional method however so the secret to her cure is being tightly regulated by Neon's guardian and doctors."
"Not even you know her cure?" Ectoplasm asked in surprise.
"I've come up with a possibility but I'm afraid without her approval I'm not one-hundred percent sure about it," Nezu admitted. "As it is, this gap in the Saki-Academies needs to be filled. At this year's sport's festival, two exceptional students will be permitted entrance to this class."
"Provided none of the students in the hero-classes needs to be switched out," Aizawa grumbled.
"Yes of course," Nezu agreed. "as it is, Neon's physical status has increased since the day of our entrance exams. She will be attending our academy, but she'll be going to the support category until the sports festival. If she does well there, she may be transferred over into the hero-course."
"you sound like you've made up your mind," Aizawa narrowed his eyes at Nezu thoughtfully.
"Oh no, I just find Mrs. Neon quite amusing," Nezu chuckled. "She actually made this request of me herself. Do you want to know what she said exactly to me?" Nezu's face seemed to shift, giving all his teacher's a feral looking grin that depicted his excitement and amusement with the coming words.
"So long as there is even one teacher in U.A. that dose not approve of my entrance to the Hero-course, then I will not enter the hero-course. Even if the disapproving teacher is a second or third-year teacher and has nothing to do with the hero-course. If I do not have all the teacher's of U.A. approving of my placement into the Hero's course then there is no point in transferring me there."
"Holy shit!" Hizashi laughed, "She means all the teachers? Like even the teacher's that aren't apart of the hero-course?!"
"That's insane," Nemuri hissed in disapproval. "That's over seventy adults!"
"yes, she made herself quite the hurdle to jump over," Nezu's smile turned gentle, back to the normal smile they were used to. "She did this on purpose. The desire to prove herself worthy of the hero course. She doesn't want to enter our school by any ties of her guardian but by her own skill—with her own hand. She wants to prove that she's capable of being hero all on her own. That she's not here because her guardian pushed her towards us, not because the Saki-Academies have a plausibility of an entrance to our school. But because she's strong enough all on her own, to enter and exceed our expectations of her."
"Who the hell is Neon to have that kind of drive?" Sekijiro asked curiously
"She is Tsunagu Hakamata's apprentice and adapted daughter," Nezu answered. "she entered Sakizumi Academy under the name of 'Izumi Niitobya', which of course drew no lines to Best Jeanist. Thus she's been surviving Sakizumi's attendance for the past four years quite brilliantly. No one knows who her parents are, not even her old teachers, and all of her former classmates believe she's the daughter of either a diplomat or a very wealthy businessman."
"But she's not," Nemuri commented in confusion.
"No she's not," Nezu smiled at her. "all the same though, those rumors have put into trouble countless times already. The media have been chasing her for years and have caught her experiencing multiple kidnap-attempts and attempted-murders."
"seriously?" Aizawa questioned, "No one knows who her parents are but they're willing to kill her?"
"To shake the tree from where she sits, hoping to cause chaos when she falls." Nezu hummed thoughtfully. "I will admit though, some of those villains gave me the chills and yet, she handled each situation so wonderfully."
"How long has she been handling villains?" Echoplasma questioned
"She's been handling superior villains since the fox-fire incident four years ago." Nezu informed him, "Granted Neon, or Izumi Niitobya, has exceptional skill defense wise, her personal guard has kept up his ability to protect her beautifully. There had only been one incident where he was unable to protect her and had sustained heavy injuries while trying to do so."
"only one?" Nemuri asked, "I wanna meet him! He's gotta be one hell of a man!" she squalled and squirmed in her seat, blushing brightly while she was at it.
"Hm, I'm not sure if you'll like him much." Nezu commented off handedly. "wherever Neon goes, he follows. So when she enters our academy, we will be having a former villain on our grounds."
"Say WHAT?!"
