"The battle to find the injured and capture the villains was slowly coming to a close. Many pro-heroes were injured in the attack after the initial explosion, the same could be said for the civilians. With the strength of the bomb and the number of civilians present, a high number of casualties was expected. But that wasn't the case. They found, at the heart of the epicenter, hundreds of unharmed should-have-been-dead souls.

Everyone called it a miracle. So August twenty-fifth, was hailed as the day of a miracle. A day where a guardian gave her life to protect the children in her care. To the civilians, it was hailed as a wonderful day but to the hero's...it was so much more somber. The leaning tower of strange items all wrapped up in goo was left alone, treated as a memorial to the mother who gave her life to protect everyone else.

The heroes who were there that day, often visit the memorial but they don't bring flowers for the woman who sacrificed everything. No, they bring small toys, blurry photos and trinkets that young children like. The first sign anyone ever had that the heroes were affected differently from the civilians by the incident, was when Gang Orca was seen by the memorial. He was holding a little yellow box with a red ribbon wrapped around it. He kneeled before the memorial and bowed his head, seemingly praying to the hero of August twenty-fifth. He would remain there for several long minutes, before rising and walking away.

That's when an investigation was set up and the cruel truth was discovered. On the day of the attack, there were many witnesses to a strange fog rolling in from the sea front just as the sun began its descent." The video rolled on through more scenes of the destruction, revealing people running from the fog only to be trapped and be left behind in complete confusion. "It has been confirmed that this fog erased people's memories. No one knows who or even how but many parents that day simply forgot. They forgot they were parents. Forgot they had children. And the children forgotten? They disappeared. When the investigators went to the homes of the parents, they discovered that all photos and items belonging to the missing children had also been removed. So there can only be one conclusion. August twenty-fifth was a planned attack and the targets were the now missing children."

"I don't understand," the video ended and she pushed the laptop slightly away from herself. "Are you saying that Izuku-kun isn't my only child? That I have more out there?"

"We don't know how you remember Izuku-kun but you do and we consider that a blessing." Miho was ringing her fingers together, feeling stressed with the information she was trying to get Inko to understand. "You have a daughter," Miho stressed but couldn't continue before Inko interrupted her.

"Then what's her name?" Inko asked, raising her eyebrow at her neighbor.

"Except that," Miho sighed and pinched her brow. "Listen Inko-Chan, can't you believe me when I say you have a daughter?"

"Miho-Chan, I'm a single mother with a son." Inko sighed, her smile small and patient. "I'm not in a relationship with anyone. When could I have possibly conceived a second child?"

Miho groaned loudly, rubbing her thin fingers across her sleep-deprived face. "But I know Izuku-kun isn't an only child."

"Then where's the proof?" Inko asked, "there are no photos, no clothes, no toys, not even a birth record that indicate I have a daughter." Inko listed them off her fingers before flopping her hands on the bed. "Miho-Chan, I'm still recovering from the attack. Please don't stress me out about a child you yourself can't even find solid proof of."

"But Inko-chan,"

"I have Izuku-kun," Inko interrupted with a heavy sigh. "Why would I remember Izuku but not Izumi?"

"I don't know," Miho sighed, rubbing her hands across her face.

"Listen Miho-Chan," Inko softened her voice, giving up trying to convince Miho otherwise. "I remember going to the memorial because my children-" Inko stopped to cough harshly, cringing with every hack. "'scue me," Inko rubbed at her sore throat, "my child was in danger. I hadn't been there long when one of the villains attacked me. I didn't even see their face." At that moment, Miho realized that smoke Inko breathed in was by far the worst of any of their cases. While everyone else had been able to cover their mouths or runaway for a time, Inko had been unconscious and unable to protect herself. It was true that Inko had received the highest condescended smoke out of everyone attacked, but it hadn't been shortly after she arrived at the scene. That attack happened nearly two days after the initial attack, dose that meant that the smoke erased more then just Inko's daughter? It erased the two days of Inko battling and recovering and hunting down her own daughter?

Did that mean that 'Tanith' was completely whipped away?

"Scarlet Widow, let's go," both women turned to see a young sidekick in the doorway, dressed in black and gray cloth. "Boss has his paperwork now. It's time to continue the investigation."

"Right, coming," Miho sighed and rose to her feet, the cast on her left leg creaked with the movement and she cringed with the sound.

"Can Gang Orca be any ruder?" Inko asked softly, "you broke your leg Miho-Chan. You can't be getting up and down like this repeatedly. You should be resting at home not running around the city."

"Inko-Chan, I'm fine." Miho smiled back at her, "don't worry, I'll find proof of your daughter. Believe in me." Inko smiled and bobbed her head, allowing her neighbor to leave on good terms. Outside the hospital room, she found Gang Orca leaning against the wall; arms crossed and seemingly pouting like a child.

"Did you mention any names?" Gang Orca asked

"Other than Izuku-kun's? No." Miho sighed, "whose ever quirk that is, they're damn powerful."

"...maybe not," Gang Orca murmured. "If you never said the girls name, how did she know it?"

"Why would I remember Izuku but not Izumi?"

"She remembers?!" Miho asked, her voice a breathless whisper in the hallway

"Maybe only on a subconscious level," the Sidekick corrected quickly while they all started down the hall. "Remember how she started coughing when she said 'children'? I think on a subconscious level she's fighting the quirk."

"I'm much more interested in the lack of records," Gang Orca growled. "And the homes, they were targeted just like the children."
