Nana looked at the man, a look of regret on her face as the images shimmered across the surface of the oval. "The only thing she knew for sure was that infant couldn't be released from her container, she was to remain in it at whatever cost. Yukiko heard whisperings about how even 'All for one' was cautious of the infant and didn't want her to wake up if it was at all possible. I figured since 'All for one' was cautious of her then it was properly for the best to keep her in the device. I reached out to an old friend for some help and we were able to hide 'princess' and the other children in an abandoned warehouse. As an electrical type, Yukiko supplied the power for the place to be operational. That was the building me and my friend worked most nights out of, it was how we kept track of 'all for one's' movements and his associates locations. After three years I decided that if I fell before finding a successor, I would integrate a part of myself into 'princess' so that 'one for all' would live on. A year after I had given some of my DNA to the infant I met Toshinori and decided he would be a great successor and judging by your memories of him, I was right."

"From what we can tell, there is some of Nana's DNA roaming in your body, hence why you're here in the in-between with us," the man picked up when Nana stopped talking. "but we also don't think you're that same infant she saved."

"You mean kept hidden in an incubator unable to grow and experience life like a normal child?" she raised an eyebrow at them, watching them both cringe.

"We believe that the infant 'princess' is All for one's niece," Nana said in a tone of voice that sounded like an apology

"My daughter," the man sighed heavily, rubbing one hand across his face.

"Are you saying I'm your kid?" she asked, frowning at them

"No, oh heaven's no!" the man waved his hands about frantically, the oval once shared between him and Nana dispersed imminently. "I think the closest description of our bond is grandchild and grandparent!"

"...I'm your grandkid?"

"Yes," the man smiled and rubbed the back of his neck nervously, "At least in this life."

"Then that means my mother is your daughter?!" she straightened, very nearly lunging at the man. "That means 'All for one' is my uncle?!"

"Great uncle," Nana corrected. She looked at the woman, frowning thoughtfully as she stared. "hm? What is it?"

"I understand why I would meet him in the world of between, but why am I meeting you?" she asked, pointing at Nana as if it wasn't obvious by now who she meant.

"I think it has something to do with my quirk," Nana grinned sheepishly

"And what's that?"

"Well, I've always called it incarnation," Nana shrugged. "From what I figured out when I was living, I could awaken the dormant quirk-genes in people but I wasn't able to reverse the genes."

"You could wake up dormant genes?"

"Only the ones based in quirks," Nana corrected quickly, then gave a big grin. "I guess it worked out pretty great for Toshinori!"

"How does that affect this situation?"

"Well, the last time I woke someone's dormant quirk... he said he saw someone else's memories," Nana smiled out at the ocean, sad and acceptive, like a fond memory that still hurt to recall. "He said it was like watching their life roll through on fast forward and the only thing that stuck was the knowledge of his quirk."

"you think it's more then just seeing someone else's memories," she murmured, "you think it was his previous life?"

"I think it was the memories of his ancestor who had the quirk before him." Nana rubbed the back of her head with a nervous laugh. "What I'm saying is, what you have is more then mine or his quirks," Nana jabbed a thumb at the man beside her. "I think you have your mother's and father's quirks as well."

"So... what I have a total of four quirks?" she raised an eyebrow at them, "yeah no. Give two of them to Izuku, he'll need them."

"I doubt it's actually four distinctive quirks," the man chuckled. "I think your bloodline just merged them all into one really powerful quirk. My quirk-consumption wasn't passed on to you but my regeneration, or a form of it, was passed on. My wife was capable of telekinesis but honestly she couldn't do anything more then lift a few spoons. Plus there's the experimentation done to your mother, some of that bleed through too."

"All we can say is to research 'Telekinesis' and focus on what it says for the more powerful users," Nana suggested. "You'll probably find your limits there. As for your father's fire-breath... I think you're more proficient at it then him."

"He can only control one flame at time, I think you can do so much more than that," the man smiled.

"Yeah well—" she stopped talking, an awful chill rolled across her shoulders, like the sensation of eyes or knifes carefully outlining her skeleton without piercing her skin. "Who's there?!" her voice cracked like a whip as she snapped around, spinning on the ball of her foot to face the threat. There was no time to react, a black wave rushed past her, distorting her surroundings. The man and woman felt cold against her back, their hands more like ice-blocks where they held her in place. "What's happening?!"

"You're waking!" the man shouted

"I can't hold on!" Nana shouted, "The current! It's too-kaa!" Nana lost grip and was tossed back to the white shores of her memory, the man adjusted his hold on her and held tight.

"Calm down," the man ordered, "breathe, it'll be okay, you're waking up."
