"Find Markos, kill Markos, save Mystic Falls from becoming traveler home," Damon was saying into the phone when Riley met him at the Salvatore house. "It's going to be a busy day for me, Stefan. Time to strap on the hero hair." It had been four days since Stefan and Elena were taken by Markos, and finally, there was some good news. They were alive.

"They're OK?" Riley asked when he hung up the phone.

"Yep," Damon answered. Suddenly a knife flew independently through the air, impaling Damon's shoulder.

"Which is more than we can say for Enzo," Riley muttered, knowing exactly who was responsible. "Aren't you supposed to be bringing him back to life? Not that he deserves it..."

"Bonnie!" Damon called through the house. The anchor, as if waiting for her name to be called, was in the room in mere moments.

"Hi Enzo!" Riley called, waving in the general direction of where the knife had come from. Yes, she was slightly smug about the fact that he was dead. But there was a part of her, a really small stupid part, that wanted him to come back. After all he'd done to her, she shouldn't have missed him, so it shocked her that she did.

"He says you promised to bring him back," Bonnie said, walking into the room. She turned to look behind her and rolled her eyes, clearly speaking to the ghost in the room. "Whatever."

"I know what I said," Damon responded.

"Please stop talking," Bonnie said, looking behind her once again, before focusing on Damon. "You need to fix this before I lose my mind."

"Hey! I'm sorry. I've got two missing doppelgängers, I've got a traveler that wants to rid our town of magic, and I've got the friendly banker, Mr. Sikes, in the coat closet," he said to Bonnie, then spoke directly to Enzo. "So your escape from the netherworld is going to have to wait till tomorrow."

A bottle of bourbon seemed to levitate, smashing into the fireplace which caused the flames to grow, snarling viciously against the brick that contained them.

"I think he wants to be penciled in for today," Bonnie inferred.

Riley frowned. "Why do you have a banker in the coat closet?"

"One problem at a time," he rolled his eyes at her. "Speaking of problems, Enzo's reemergence into the land of the living isn't on my list of priorities. So Bonnie, you bring him back."

"What?!" Bonnie asked. Her face betrayed a hint of nervousness.

"Liv is cooking up a spell to pull you back from the Other Side when it goes 'kaboom'." Damon reminded her. "So whatever you're doing, just include Enzo in it. You hear me, Enzo? Just hitch a ride with her."

"Will that work?" Riley asked. She remembered all too well that their plans never went smoothly – if this one didn't work, both Enzo and Bonnie would be stuck in an Other Side that would no longer exist.

Bonnie didn't answer. To the average person, it seemed like she was thinking about Liv's spell. But the reason for her silence was the fact that there was no spell.

"You," Damon said, pointing at Riley. "Call Jeremy and Donovan."

"Why?" Riley asked, making no move to complete his request.

"I need you guys to run an errand for me," he responded, ushering her out the door. She wanted to ask exactly what was on his mind, but didn't bother. She'd find out soon enough...

"When you said 'errand'," Riley said through gritted teeth. "I didn't think you meant manual labor! Whoops!" She backed into an end table and knocked over an empty glass vase, which shattered as soon as it hit the ground. "Sorry!"
