The loud beeping of a heart monitor awoke a young woman from her dreamless sleep. She groaned as she tried to sit up, but was quickly pushed back down. "You need to rest. You're heavily injured, please, lay down. I'll get the heroes, they've been waiting outside," a familiar short elderly lady was standing next to her.
"Heroes?" She questioned but was quickly ignored by the older woman as she walked out. What did that lady mean by heroes? A few people in all sorts of costumes began to walk in and surrounded the confused young woman. Although they did all seem quite familiar, she couldn't pinpoint where she had known them from.
"Hi," she waved shyly at the people around her.
"Hello," a lady in a pink costume and helmet said. "The doctor said you would most likely suffer from amnesia due to your injuries. Do you remember anything?"
"Not really. I don't even remember my name if I'm completely honest," she hesitantly answered. "What happened?"
"You were caught up in a villain attack and were injured. We wanted to make sure you were okay," a man in a green suit said quickly. The man seemed very nervous, but she assumed it was due to the supposed attack.
"Oh, I see. I'm glad you all care enough to come see me. I very much appreciate it," she smiled. Everyone in the room seemed to release a breath they were holding and relaxed.
"I'm sure you would like to know who we are, and more importantly, want to know who you are," the same green-haired man said. Nodding, she agreed. "Your name is (L/N) (Y/N). You are 21 years old."
"And you all are?" Everyone began to introduce themselves, and she took mental notes on their names, hoping she'd remember at least half of them. "How come you all seem familiar? It feels like I know you all from somewhere. I mean, we must know each other if you were all so concerned about me."
"W-Well, you went to the U.A. with us for almost 3 years before you moved away," Midoriya said.
"U.A.?"
"Yeah. It's the top hero school in Japan. You decided you didn't want to become a hero anymore. You went for something else, but never told us what you wanted to be," Todoroki said. Something in (Y/N)'s gut told her that what he was saying wasn't completely true. However, her anxiety was soothed when she looked at Bakugo.
"That seems a little weird to me. I mean, why would I wanna be a hero? That seems so cool!" Then she paused. "Wait, I thought superheroes needed some sort of superpower to be one. How was I going to become a hero without a superpower?"
"Well, most of the world has a superpower. You do, too. You did a lot of training with your quirk, and you got it to be pretty strong. We had a hard time fighting you," Ashido said.
"Quirks? Fighting me?" (Y/N) questioned, causing everyone to give a slight glare at the pink-skinned female.
"Quirks are the superpowers we were referring to. As she mentioned, most people have one, but only a few can become great heroes. What Ashido meant by fighting was sparring. During class we had a lot of sparring sessions to improve our quirks," Todoroki explained.
"Oh, that's so cool! What's my quirk?"
"Your quirk is called Shadows. You can manipulate shadows to do various things," Midoriya said.
"Wow! My quirk sounds cool. How do I use it?"
"Well, you must've forgotten all the training you went through to control it," Midoriya said. "It's a bit complicated and you did have some trouble with it while we were training. Civilians aren't allowed to use their quirks in public so it may be best to keep you without the use of your quirk for now."
