I have been blessed to be part of fandoms where creative minds abound.

And I have been part of the Meteor Garden fandom since 2001 when the OG Meteor Garden series from Taiwan hit Philippine TV with a bang!

The impact that series had on me, as well as the cultural behemoth it became in my country, made me reluctant (at first) to watch the 2018 version.

Was I glad to be proven wrong after watching the very first episode.

And now almost a year after it aired, here I am, blessed with friends who believed in this project and came together to pay tribute to a love that has stood the test of time.

Thank you, first and foremost, to Kei  ( tigermoonbuddy ) and Toni ( toniclomera ).

They were selfless enough to indulge me in my musings of creating a collaboration project as big as this. They have been my rock throughout and their faith in this project propelled it to be what it is now.

You two. I love you 3000.

Second, thank you to all of the writers that we reached out to and said yes to joining this project but could not see it with us to the finish line. We continue to hope that one day we might be able to do a project with all of you as well. Each and every one of you ladies who have to focus on some other things right now bless us still with your support and we are truly truly grateful for that.

Third, of course, a big big hug and thanks to the writers whose stories will be published and you will read here in this collaboration book.

They have all been so supportive not only of the project but of each other. Special shout out to Linda and Luna (who more than writing has also shared with us their artistic talents)! The videos, posters, gif teasers these two women made blessed us! We have so many gifted and selfless people on board, I could cry.

And if you only know the kind of craziness that goes on in the Meteor Heaven Project GC, you would feel your hearts warm up.

Thank you beautiful mommas for you, your talent, and your absolute love.

I am in awe of all of you.

Fourth, thank you to my sempais, my "ates", my ride-or-dies, Ate Ruthie ( wuthie16 ) and Ate Katring ( kathartickat ).

Lastly, thank you to Sensei Yoko Kamio, whose Hana Yori Dango inspired Meteor Garden. Thank you to Angie Chai who produced the original series and its remake. Thank you to everyone who made Meteor Garden such a phenomenon and especially to Wang He Di and Shen Yue, who gave their hearts to Daoming Si and Dong Shancai and whose chemistry lit a fire in so many of us that we continue to love their characters even beyond the show.

I hope all of you enjoy the masterpieces you are about to read.
