'So, are you coming on Saturday?' Violet asked me.
'What's Saturday?' I asked as we sat together in Physics, both of us working on our assignments. I knew that we had an athletics competition at school on Saturday but apart from that I was not aware of anything else.
'Oh shit, I forgot you weren't here at the end of last year,' Violet laughed as I raised an eyebrow at her. 'It's my eighteenth on Saturday, we are all going to Germany after the athletics competition. You should come.'
'Cool, sounds good.'
'You also have to wear the colour white.'
'Really?' I questioned with a laugh since I hardly ever wore white.
'Yes, really Annabelle.'
'Why Germany?' I asked as I continued to type on my laptop, adjusting the glasses on my face.
'Good clubs in Berlin, I thought you would know that?' Violet questioned and I just rolled my eyes at her.
'Of course, I know that I was just wondering why we aren't going to London or something?'
'Because I wanted to do something different for my eighteenth,' Violet said shrugging her shoulders. 'Also my parents are in Washington for business, meaning that I don't get to see them until next week.'
'Ah fair enough,' I said, knowing that she was probably feeling pretty crap about not being able to see her parents on her birthday, as it is a feeling I know all too well.
We spent the rest of our double lesson working on our assignments, before heading to athletics training after school.
'Laps, laps and more laps,' Coach Russell said loudly, making us all groan as every single person plugged in their headphones and began to run, as for the full two hours we spend at training, an hour and a half of that would be spent running around the running track.
I jogged with Eloise on one side and Cara on the other, knowing that Luke was behind me glaring into my back.
We hadn't spoken since dinner on Friday night when he found me crying outside. I had spoken to my brother Harry about Christmas and what he was going to do. He said, "I might just fuck off to America or something."
Standard Harry though, he hasn't had any emotions for about three years, due to what happened to our family.
'Alright you guys, time to stretch and then you can head off' Coach said as we finished our last lap, my legs absolutely killing me.
We all flopped to the ground and Ashton who is the captain of the athletics team lead us in stretches. We spent half an hour making sure every part of our body was stretched before heading back to our rooms, but not before Luke stopped me outside my room.
'Can we talk Belle?'
'About what?' I asked opening my door and kicking off my blue Nike's.
'Well, I walked out of dinner on Friday to see you crying, what was that about?' Luke asked gently and I just rolled my eyes at him, unsure as to why he cared.
