"I actually cannot believe my Dad is shipping me off to boarding school," I scoffed on the phone to my good friend Alice, who was all the way back in Australia.

"It's only a year Annabelle, then you will be back in no time," Alice said as I entered the gates of Saint Joseph's College in the French Alps. The school was practically a castle, the surrounding mountains making it seem like something out of a Harry Potter movie.

"Alright I'm here, I'll talk to you tomorrow," I said as Alice said goodbye to me, and I got out of my car, thanking my driver before I walked through what appeared to be the reception of the boarding house, heading to the front desk to receive my keys and whatever else I needed.

"Name please," the blunt receptionist said, clearly not interested in anything I had to stay.

"Annabelle Carrington," I stated confidently, the receptionist immediately looking brighter and more engaged.

"Good morning Miss Carrington, here are your room keys and map, you are on the third floor and in-room seven."

My name has that kind of pull. My father is Jason Carrington, founder and owner of Tesla, the renewable energy company responsible for creating electric cars and what not. This, by default, makes me one of the richest teenagers in the world.

"Thank you," I said kindly, heading up the stairs to the third floor, admiring the architecture of the old building, as I was in complete awe of how this gorgeous building was allowed to be a boarding house.

My bags were already in my room, my rather large room at that. I had my own bathroom, along with a queen bed and a large wardrobe, which was incredible for a boarding school to have.

St Joseph's was my father's last resort for me, as I had been kicked out of numerous schools in Australia, for rocking up to school high, getting drunk at school events, and just being an all-around shit student. I knew that I needed to get my act together, as I wanted to go to medical school, but right now I was more interested in living my life than being a doctor.

"I heard that you would be joining us," a familiar Australian voice said, and I turned around to see my old friend Calum Hood, whose family owns Amazon, standing in my doorway.

"Calum!" I squealed, quickly running over to the tall boy, who immediately pulled me into a hug. Calum and I have been friends since we were toddlers, due to our mothers being extremely close. However, Calum was based in America and my family in Australia, meaning we rarely, if ever got to see each other.

"How are you Annabelle?" he asked as I let go of him, walking into my overly large room with a smile on his defined face. Calum was attractive, I will give him that, but from what I can remember, he was also extremely gifted at soccer, and had a killer singing voice.

"Yeah I am alright," I said as I began to unpack one of the many bags in my room. "How are you?"

"Good thanks babe," Calum said with a grin, and I rolled my eyes when he used that word on me. Calum is a notorious flirt, but his charms have never, and will never work on me.

"So, are you going to show me around or what?" I asked and Calum nodded as he lead me down the seventh year's corridor.

"I want you to meet my friends."
