'Who the hell has an eighteenth two weeks before exams start?' I questioned as Luke zipped me into my white dress.
'Ashton Irwin does, he wants one day, that being tomorrow, where everyone does not study before exams,' Luke laughed as he finished zipping my dress and I turned around with a pout on my face.
'Well, I will still be studying.'
'Come on Belle you don't need to study, you are the smartest girl in our year level,' Luke scoffed as I pulled on my gold heels and grabbed Ashton's present from my desk.
'Yeah,' I scoffed. 'I do, to get into Medicine at Cambridge my grades need to be the best of the best.'
'Which they are babe, so stop stressing and have fun tonight,' Luke said with a smile and I rolled my eyes at him as we left my room and headed downstairs to the carpark to get our car into Nomain where Ashton was having his party.
'You look stunning, by the way,' Luke said, kissing my bare shoulder as we reached the venue that the party was at. I was wearing a white dress, which was slightly out of my comfort zone but it was in my wardrobe and I had not worn it before.
'Thanks, Hemmings so do you,' I said with a grin before we thanked our driver and stepped out of the car, my heels making an obnoxious clicking noise along the cobblestone pavement as we walked into the lobby and made our way up the stairs to where the party was and where all of our friends were already.
'God it's a fucking miracle that you are here hey?' Harrison said with a laugh as he ruffled my hair when I walked inside, Luke laughing at his words because he did have a point, it was a miracle that I was here.
'I am never one to pass up an opportunity to party,' I said before making my way over to Ashton who already had two drinks and was looking slightly worse for wear. 'Happy birthday Ashton!' I exclaimed when he saw me, pulling me into a drunken hug.
'Annabelle!' he slurred slightly, his classic cheesy Ashton grin plastered on his face. 'Thank you for coming!'
Over the time I had been in France, Ashton and I had become fast friends, mainly because he was best friends with Calum and so was I. Ashton was the one out of the four of them who made me feel most welcome when I first moved here, aside from Calum of course but that was a given. He also, along with Eloise, helped me get used to finding the classrooms and everything else in the school, which helped my transition become a whole lot easier.
'I would not miss it for the world,' I said truthfully, handing him his present as he thanked me profusely before I headed to the bar to get myself a drink.
'Hi, can I please just have a glass of rose?' I asked the bartender who just nodded and went to pour it for me, Violet appearing next to me.
'Can I talk to you?' Violet asked as the bartender handed me my glass of wine and I nodded, following her out to the balcony and closing the door behind me.
'What's up?' I asked.
'Ashton asked me to officially be his girlfriend yesterday.'
'OH MY GOD,' I screamed a little too loudly, earning some odd looks from the people inside. 'That is so great, but why do you look so sad?'
'I got a call from the Harvard Dean today, they are offering me early admission.'
'I thought you were going straight into modelling?' I asked Violet who just shrugged her shoulders.
'I applied for Harvard on the off chance that I would get in, you know that I want to study Law and Economics,' she said shrugging her shoulders. Violet always plays down how smart she, which was beyond me because she is one of the smartest girls in our year level.
