One week since the last time Luke and I spoke, meaning Eloise's birthday tonight was going to be extremely awkward.

'So you guys haven't spoken at all?' Eloise asked me in the car on the way to Nomain and I shook my head, because Luke had been avoiding me at all costs, even when I was trying to talk to him, in person or over text.

'Nope, he has been ignoring me like I have the plague.'

'Maybe you do have the plague,' Violet said with a smirk and I just rolled my eyes, Cara giving her a look as to say 'now is not the time for jokes.'

'According to Luke I do,' I said with an eye roll, smoothing out my green dress, which seems to be a habit I have when I am nervous.

'He will get over it, you're not going to take the scholarship are you?' Eloise asked and I shook my head.

'No I'm not. It's a good opportunity don't get me wrong but my heart is set on Cambridge and someone less fortunate would better from this scholarship when I can already afford to go to a school like Yale.'

'That's very nature of you Belle,' Cara said and I nodded in agreement, as I thought that too. As much as the opportunity that I was being presented with was amazing, it just was not for me.

'Are you still going to go to the interview?' Eloise asked and I nodded.,

'I need to tell them why I'm not interested, I owe them that at least.'

'Oooo we are here! Let's get inside,' Violet said with a grin as we reached the hotel where Eloise was having her party. We all planned on staying here tonight, even myself since Eloise is one of my closest friends and I do not plan on taking it easy tonight.

My black heels clicked on the ground as we rushed inside and up to the venue room where Eloise's party planners had been setting up all day.

'God I hope they did a good job,' she mumbled, mostly to herself but we could all hear her, as she was never as quiet as she thought she was.

'Eloise I'm sure everything perfect,' I said calmly as I took her hand and squeezed it before we walked inside the room. Eloise was a perfectionist, there was no denying that but sometimes we all wished she could just relax for just a moment.

We all walked inside into the room, all gasping at how incredible it looked. Eloise squealed in delight at the gold and silver themed room, no detail being spared.

'Do you like it Eloise?' one of her party planners, Sam, asked with a nervous smile on her face.

'It's incredible Sam!' she squealed in delight, pulling the small girl into a tight hug, her body instantly relaxing when she knew that Eloise loved it. 'Thank you so much.'

'Anything for you El,' the other party planner, Dominic said with a satisfied grin on his face.

We all helped with the finishing touches, saying goodbye to Sam and Dominic before grabbing a drink from the bar, all of us going with a glass of Dom whilst waiting for everybody else to arrive, my nerves getting the best of me and I finished my glass in three minutes flat.
