'What are you doing this weekend?' Luke asked me as he lay on my bed whilst I completed my queue cards for organic chemistry, which officially meant that I had finished all my queue cards and notes for all my subjects, which also meant that I could officially start studying for my final exams.
'Studying probably,' I said, spinning around on my desk chair so I could face him. He was scrolling on his laptop, no doubt trying to pick a movie to watch as for some reason, Luke hardly needed to study, as he was just one of those people who could retain information easily, which annoyed the shit out of me because I would be slaving away at my desk whilst he would skim through his notes and call it a day.
'I was thinking we could go to London after school on Friday maybe?' Luke said and I just laughed before walking over to him and lying beside him, to see that he was looking at flights to London from Paris on Friday afternoon.
'First of all, why?' I asked. 'Second of all, why are you booking flights when both of us have family owned private jets.'
'Jack is using the jet this weekend and I spoke to Harrison before asking you, your dad is needing it this weekend as well. Besides, it will be fun to fly on a normal plane for once.'
'That is potentially the most privileged thing you have ever said,' I laughed.
'Sorry. Sometimes I just blurt out whatever comes to my mind first when I definitely should not.'
'Yes you do,' I said with a smile. 'Back to London though, yeah I'll come. It will be good to take a break from studying anyway, we will both need it.'
'Perfect I'll book flights right now,' Luke smiled and I let out a small cheer as he booked us business class flights, as neither of us saw the need to fly first class for a flight that was potentially shorter than a double lesson at school.
'This is so exciting!' I exclaimed, kissing his cheek. 'Where are we going to stay? Your house in London?' I questioned.
'I suppose we can, I have the keys on me which would make things a whole lot easier.'
'We can visit Cambridge too if we want, have another look around.'
'When do we find out what universities we have gotten into again?' Luke asked as he confirmed our flights for late Friday afternoon, shutting his laptop and cuddling into me, my hand immediately going to his hair, because I knew that he loved the feeling of someone running their fingers through his hair.
'About a month after we finish exams, that gives us around two months to prepare everything,' I said as I continued to play with Luke's blonde mess, a small smile playing on his lips.
'I'm excited, I can't wait to be finished with school,' Luke said softly, his eyes fluttering closed, which was warranted as it was quite late, meaning we should have probably been asleep an hour ago.
'We won't get to see our friends every day though,' I said and he just shrugged his shoulders, indicating that he did not mind that much.
'Yeah I know but I get to be with you every day.'
'You're with me every day now,' I laughed and Luke sat up so he could face me, a smile on his face.
'I know Annabelle,' he laughed with a cheeky grin, which highlighted the dimples that I love so much. 'But we will get to be living together, just the two of us, which is the most exciting thing ever.'
'True, I am very excited for that,' I said with a grin, Luke leaning over to place a soft kiss on my lips before breaking away, always leaving me wanting more.
'Can we get a dog and a cat? Maybe two of each?'
'Yes please, I thought you would never ask!' I exclaimed, Luke smiling even harder than before. My family dog, Lewie passed away shortly after my my mum did, and not long after that our family car, Holly, passed away as well, and we never got any more pets due to my father always being away and myself being slightly off the rails.
'The minute we move in we will go to the closest animal shelter and adopt two animals,' Luke said excitedly, which made me even more excited, because his happiness is my own happiness.
'God I'm so excited,' I said before resting my head on my pillow, suddenly feeling incredibly tired, due to the fact that end of year work was piling up.
'Me too, it's going to be the best,' Luke said softly, resting his head next to mine. 'What is one of us doesn't get into Cambridge though?' he added out of the blue, my body moving extremely fast to face him, the smiles that were on our faces fading as quickly as they appeared.
'What did you mean what if one of us doesn't get in?' I asked with a nervous laugh. 'Both of us are going to get into Cambridge, there are no other alternatives.'
'I know Belle, I know,' Luke said. 'But say hypothetically, I didn't get accepted and you did, what would you do?'
'Depends on where else you got accepted into,' I said truthfully. 'Cambridge has always been my dream, ever since I first visited there with my parents and I don't think that will ever change.'
'So for example, you get accepted into Yale and Cambridge, which is a guarantee and I got accepted into Columbia and not Cambridge, what would you do?' Luke asked, a serious look, and I knew that he wanted me to say that I would follow him to America, and as much as I love him, I would never be one to chase a boyfriend to another country because he was there.
'I love you Luke, you know that right?'
'Of course I know that, I love you too Annabelle,' he said taking my hand in his own and squeezing it tightly. 'But you wouldn't go to Yale would you?'
'No, I wouldn't,' I sighed and Luke just nodded. 'It's not because I don't want to, it's because I love Cambridge and it's my dream.'
'Good.'
'Pardon?'
'I wouldn't want you to follow me anyway. You deserve more than me pushing you to come to Yale if I don't get accepted into Cambridge.'
'What?' I asked, slightly surprised by his answer.
'I know that you would never be that girl to follow a boy, as cliche as that sounds, and I don't want that to change just because we love each other.'
'You're the best, you know that right?' I said kissing his lips softly, both of us smiling into the kiss, Luke pulling away before one of us took it too far.
'I know, but that conversation was hypothetical and we are both getting into Cambridge so we don't have to worry about being separated in a couple of months.'
'I know, I'm just saying you are the best,' I said softly, Luke smiling as he kissed the top of my head and carefully tucked me into bed.
'Goodnight Belle, sweet dreams,' was all he said before leaving my room, leaving me dreaming of the future that we were going to share together.
