'So have you two spoken since last Sunday?' Eloise asked me and I shook my head as I tied up my sneakers. We were getting ready to go to Cara's eighteenth, as she was having a party in town at one of the many extravagant hotels that lined the streets of Nomain.
'Nope, he has texted and called me multiple times but I am so done with him,' I sighed as we headed downstairs to sign out and get in the car that Eloise had called for us.
'What an asshole, that is classic Luke Hemmings,' Eloise scoffed as we climbed into the back of the BMW that was taking us to the party. I nodded in agreement as we sat in silence in the back of the car, my hands beginning to become sweaty with the thought of having to interact with Luke again.
We reached Nomain, entering the hotel where Cara was having her party before heading upstairs to the room she told us to meet her in.
'This is it yeah?' I asked Eloise who nodded as I opened the door to see Cara, Violet and the four boys already in there, a drink in each of their hands.
'Happy birthday Cara!' Eloise and I exclaimed in unison, heading over to the birthday girl who had her usually straight blonde hair in a messy curly ponytail, which suited her.
Eloise and I ended up getting her a Harry Winston necklace, one that we knew she could wear whenever she wanted and not just for events.
'You guys didn't have to get me something this extravagant,' Cara grinned as we pulled her into a group hug.
'Oh please, this screams you,' I laughed as Eloise nodded in agreement.
'CAN SOMEONE HELP ME?' Calum called out before I nudged Eloise to go and help him with whatever he was doing. Violet handed me a glass of champagne before more people started to arrive so I ended up heading outside to have a cigarette. I haven't smoked in ages, mainly because I was either smoking weed or doing something else but for some reason, I really felt like I needed one.
'I didn't know you smoked,' Luke said as he closed the balcony doors behind him, earning an eye roll from me.
'Didn't know how much of a man whore you were either. Guess you learn something new every day.'
'Jesus settle down Annabelle,' Luke said and I just scoffed, not sure why he was trying to even talk to me at the moment.
'I smoke because I haven't had weed or coke for a long time,' I said taking a long drag of the thing that would probably kill me the fastest, the feel of nicotine feeding my addiction.
'Probably shouldn't smoke to replace that.'
'I didn't ask for your opinion Luke.'
'Annabelle please, are your really going to continue being this bitter to me for the rest of the year?' Luke questioned and I just rolled my eyes.
'Yeah pretty much,' I said with a sarcastic grin and Luke just sighed, running a hand through his flat blonde hair.
'I don't want anything to do with Rory! I haven't even slept with anyone since I slept with her!'
'Luke, that wasn't even a month ago so what is your point?'
'I like you, Annabelle, more than I have ever liked anyone before and it is scary.'
'Well I don't like you,' I scoffed and Luke just groaned, out of frustration I presumed.
'God, you are so frustrating!' Luke basically yelled and I just rolled my eyes, taking another drag of my cigarette, almost having finished it.
