Logan POV
Remy led the way while still carrying Picani. I followed slowly behind, tying to keep Virgil from falling on his face.I am starting to worry. A lot. I needed Patton here with me right now. If I can't find him...I am going to loose it.
Where is he? Why haven't I been able to find him? Remy stopped walking, causing me to bump into him.
"Why'd you stop?" I asked, but Remy shushed me instantly.
"Listen." He whispered. We all stayed silent for a few seconds. I didn't hear anything.
"I don't hear anything." I said. Remy shushed me again. We went back to silence.
Than faintly, I heard crying. Who is that? I hoped and hoped it was Patton. Remy started walking forwards, following the sound.
I quickly followed him. We turned a corner and Remy stopped suddenly again. I looked past him to see Patton, curled up and sobbing. A light blue puff of smoke was circling around him, telling him mean things.
"No, no, no." I whispered, fear filling me. I quickly shoved Virgil into Remy's arms and went running to Patton.
"Patton!" I yelled, getting his attention. "Leave him alone!" I screamed at the creature.
Patton looked up at me, tears streaked down his face. Instantly he forced a smile and tried to wipe all his tears away.
I knelt down next to him placing one of my hands on his shoulder and the other on his cheek.
"Hey it's okay...I'm here." I whispered. He was smiling, but his eyes didn't match the smile.
"Don't pretend Patton." I told him sternly. "The voice isn't real. It's just in your mind. Don't listen to it." Instantly his smile dropped and he started sobbing.
"I know." He whispered. I sat on the ground and pulled him into my lap. I hugged him tightly. Patton clung onto me, sobbing into my shoulder.
"It's okay Patton." I told him, running one of my hands through his hair. "Your okay. Your safe. I love you."
"Don't listen to him." Hissed the voice. Patton tensed up. "He's lying to you. The others can't stand you when your emotional."
"Don't listen to the voice Patton." I told him, hugging him as close as possible. "It's lying to you."
"Logan doesn't love you." Said the voice lowly.
"FALSEHOOD!" I screeched, raising my head to look at the creature. This time the voice went too far. How dare it try to tell Patton that I didn't love him. "I love you more than anything." I told Patton softly, placing kisses on his forehead.
"Listen to me!" Screamed the voice angrily. I looked over at the creature, to see that it steadily getting angrier.
I glared at it, but knew I stood no chance if the thing decided to attack us. I would try my best to protect Patton, but I'm not Roman.
"Stay back foul creature!" Yelled a familiar voice from the other end of the path. I looked over, feeling relief rush through me as Roman came running down the path towards us.
Roman jumped between the creature and Patton and I. He raised his sword up and got in a battle stance.
Quickly, Roman raised his sword up and slashed it through the creature. With a loud scream, the creature disappeared.
I let out a sigh of relief. My main focus now was helping Patton. I hugged and kissed him as he sobbed. I contradicted every bad thing he whispered about himself.
