After a few days, (Y/n) was allowed to leave the hospital late in the afternoon. She was fine aside from her right wing in a cast, for fear of overworking it would cause damage. She walked towards Shoto, who waited patiently for her by the hospital entrance.
"Thanks for waiting. You didn't have to come back to walk me to the agency," she smiled.
"I had nothing else going on."
"What did your old man say?" (Y/n) asked.
"You should've seen him. He acted all proud, taking credit for taking down Stain and acting like he knew what it was like to fight against him," Shoto replied bitterly.
"It be like that sometimes, my dude." (Y/n) muttered. Shoto shot her a confused glance, but didn't say anything.
"How's your wing?"
"It's okay, I just can't overexert myself." (Y/n) sighed. "I wish I could use my quirk in public. It would make commute way better."
They stepped on the train and (Y/n) watched the buildings pass.
(Y/n) and Shoto had seats next to each other for the ride back to the other city. The passengers gawked at the two of them, and they caught whispers of the Sports Festival.
Before she left, the doctors had given (Y/n) pain meds for the spikes of pain in her wing. She began to nod her head. After checking the time and deciding to nap for an hour, she leaned her head on the window next to her and promptly passed out.

Shoto paused his reading of a magazine and glanced over at (Y/n)
Her head was slumped against the glass of the window, squishing her rosy pink cheeks. She shifted multiple times, seeming uncomfortable with stooping that low to just rest against the window.
"(Y/n)," Shoto whispered quietly.
"Mhm?" she mumbled, half awake.
"Do you want to rest against my shoulder? It would be more comfortable than slouching that low." he offered.
"No I'm... I'm good... Don' wanna... be a bother..."
Ignoring her nonsense mutterings, Shoto gently turned her head to rest against his shoulder. She sighed peacefully and nuzzled into his warm left side. Shoto felt his temperature rising, but fought to keep his heartbeat relatively normal so he wouldn't risk burning the peaceful girl by accident.
"Cute..."
He gazed out the window to take his mind off of his rapid heartbeat. Watching the land whisk by, he rested his chin atop her head and dozed off as well.

The train stopped abruptly, stirring (Y/n) from her slumber. Slipping out from under Shoto's arm, she checked the time and looked at where they were. They had arrived at their stop, and if they didn't hurry, they would miss it.
"Shoto! We gotta go!" (Y/n) gently shook him awake. He jumped, and saw she was lugging her stuff off the train. He scrambled to do the same.
"You were going to leave me on there." Shoto accused her. (Y/n) grinned.
"Only if you didn't get up sooner, slowpoke," she retorted smartly. They laughed and talked all the way back to the agency.
~
When they got there, Endeavor was waiting impatiently.
"You're late."
"Only by a couple minutes." Shoto replied coldly, his happy attitude gone in an instant.
