"(Y/n)!"
Bakugo's grin twisted into a frightened expression. He watched as (Y/n) plummeted to the ground, her face scarily calm.
Bakugo dove, using his explosions to catch up to her falling body. He stretched his arms out and caught her before she hit the ground. He landed and his sneakers skidded across the stage. Midnight rushed to their side.
"(Y/n) is unconscious! Bakugo moves onto the next round!"
The crowd was tentative to start clapping, but eventually, they all were clapping respectfully for Bakugo.
His stomach twisted itself into a knot. Recovery Girl's stretcher rushed out to the field, and she took (Y/n) from Bakugo's arm's.
"Will she..." he tried to ask, but his voice was hoarse and a lump formed in his throat.
"She will be fine, thankfully. She just needs... oh dear." Recovery Girl mumbled.
(Y/n)'s Sports Festival jersey was burnt to a crisp and falling apart, and the tank top she wore underneath had a few holes in it as well.
Bakugo slipped off his jersey and laid it over (Y/n) to cover her. The stretcher trundled off the stage.
"Okay, we'll be back in twenty minutes folks! The stage needs to be reset, so go out and stretch your legs!" Most of the crowd got up to leave the stadium.
Bakugo watched the cleanup crew brushing all of (Y/n)'s feather's together. He picked up a few himself and jogged over to them.
"Oi! Hand those to me!" Bakugo barked.
"Why? They aren't yours." one of the workers replied calmly.
"They aren't yours either, dipshit. I'm going to the nurse's office, so hand them to me." Bakugo snarled. He shrugged and handed him the feathers wrapped in a cloth bundle.
"Makes my job easier..."
Bakugo hopped off the stage and jogged to the nurse's office. He swung the door open.
"What are you doing here?"
Bakugo met the harsh gaze of Todoroki, the half-n-half bastard who fought Deku.
"I'm returning these to her. I should ask you the same thing." Bakugo bristled.
"I just came to check on her. She was very badly injured. Recovery Girl's waiting for her to wake up to heal her."
(Y/n) stirred and Todoroki looked over at her, an alarmed expression taking over. He leaned in close to check her breathing. Her bandaged form was still unconscious. He smiled and stood straight again.
"You like her."
"What?"
"I said, you like her. Don't you?" Bakugo repeated. Todoroki was silent.
"So what if I do?" he answered finally. "I don't see how this concerns you. Unless..."
Bakugo shifted the bundle of feathers uncomfortably.
"You like her as well."
Todoroki chuckled.
"I don't see what she would see in you. You're arrogant, loud mouthed, and don't seem to care for anyone but yourself."
"And you're a cold-hearted bastard who pushes her away, and thinks he has a chance of her falling for you just because you've been friends since you were little." Bakugo snarled. His voice was getting louder by the minute.
"And last time I checked, friends don't give each other scars." he pointed at the jagged mark down (Y/n)'s cheek. Todoroki froze.
"So she told you..."
