"Push me away all you want, but we aren't done. We'll never be near done."

Chapter's song: Mühür- Mustafa Ceceli, Irmak Arici (A turkish song I'm in love with lately.)

Shin-hye's P.O.V:

"Park Shin-hye,"
Everything seemed confusing as I stared at the guy in a daze.
Could he a business man too?

"We'll start serving in 10 minutes, Arrasso?"
I nodded absent mindedly just as I heard someone clear their throat and we both looked up.
On the stage, stood Mrs. Kim in a straight posture, a smile at the corner of her lips as everyone stared at her.
I blinked repeatedly trying to register what was going on while struggling to ignore the bad feeling at the pit of my stomach. I couldn't handle another bad news today.

"Thank you for everyone's effort that helped make this deal possible. I'm so proud of the outstanding outcomes that this collab brought to both our company's equally. I hope we could work together again in the future if the right opportunity presents itself."

Different statistical graphs played on the screen behind her as she continued explaining proudly the results they achieved. Mr. Chin took the stage next along with his daughter Jennie as they shook hands with Mrs. Kim with wide smiles followed by everyone's applause.
I,on the other hand, took a shaky breath my eyes searching around for Taehyung. My breath caught in my chest when I finally found him sitting next to his brother both wearing a formal dress suit. Waving one hand twith a wary smile.

"Allow me to applaud my sons at their incredible effort that has always made me so proud"
I was still staring at him my heart growing warm with pride as Namjoon tapped his shoulder urging him to come up the stage.

I smiled formed at the corner of my lips as I watched him say a few words confidently. He didn't take long and was about to wrap it up. I had my hands ready for an applause when his mother came forward stopping him. She placed her hands on his shoulder than pointed at Jennie to come closer. She hesitated before she did. My heart sank.

"I wanted to announce this later, but I decided it would be really special if I did today at this special occasion," She looked between both of them then at the crowd and it was then that she noticed me and smiled. A smile that said it all. My hands froze at my sides and it was getting harder to breathe.

"I am so delighted to announce my son Kim Taehyung and the beautiful Jennie's engagement"
I gasped blinking repeatedly.

The room erupted in awes and applause but all I could hear was my heart racing in my chest.
Namjoon oppa stood staring at his mother in confusion as he came forward and looked like he was arguing while waving his hands frantically.
I couldn't move as she stared smiling at me.
Knowing my weakness and using it against me. Though I saw it coming, it hurt still.

Taehyung stood with his jaw clenched next to her and made an attempt to speak but she stopped him with a hug.

"Please, allow us to celebrate with some cake and champagne" It was then that the lights were on us.
My heart leaped in my chest. I looked up with teary eyes and our eyes met. I felt the air leave my lungs. His eyes held so much pain and confusion as he shook his head and took a step forward only to be stopped by Jennie throwing her arms around him. My whole world was collapsing right in front of my eyes. And it wasn't the first time. Too much hurt swelled in my chest and I couldn't move.

Lee nudged me but I was rooted in the place I stood at. It was so much to take and I didn't know if I could take it anymore.
From the corner of my eyes, I saw Lee move forward but I didn't. I couldn't.
I blinked the tears away, gathering what's left of strength in me as I pushed through people and ran out.
