Chapter's song: Say you won't let go-James Arthur

Shin-hye P.O.V:

Dressed in a fur jacket with a knee-length black skirt was non other than Taehyung's mother. She was sitting elegantly in the back seat with her back straight one leg folded above the other with the same solemn expression that left me shocked.

What does she want?

I haven't seen her in so long. I'm not quite familiar with her but back when I was with Tae he would always be upset because of the constant fights they had and I always tried to comfort him the best that I can.
I always hated the way she treated him like he was an object with no feelings at all. She wanted to mold him into that perfect image of a 'kim'. Little did she know she was slowly losing her own son.

"Mrs.Kim wants to talk to you. Please get in." I pondered over it for a second glancing back at the bus that I missed before getting in the back seat next to her my head swimming in questions. She was still staring outside the window as the driver drove away.

"Park Shinhye, how are you? I heard that you were doing great at school."

I nodded slwoly. "I'm working hard to have high grades."

She tilted her head slightly. "And you're in the same class with my son Kim Taehyung, am I correct?"
I nodded again sensing that she's gonna say something I'm not gonna like.

"I see." She turned towards me just as the driver stopped next to a coffee shop and got out probably her orders for us to talk in private.

"And you probably know Racheal too, such a beautiful and polite girl I must say," I didn't understand where this whole conservation was going and how she can be so calm the whole time.

"Anyways, what was I saying? Oh, yeah Racheal. I was having lunch with her mother the other day and the whole mood changed when we saw my son's picture with you in a position that is entirely unacceptable." I swallowed. Again with that picture. "It's not like that."

She raised an eyebrow before continuing. "I took care of that. I'm glad he has Racheal by his side now, how beautiful they would look together on tabloids." She waved her hands smiling widely and I fisted my hands at my sides.
It's her first smile so far. Probably the last.

"He never settles down and soon that he'll be a famous CEO at a young age there will be a lot more rumors following his every move. You don't want to end up being called 'another hookup' on a magazine cover, do you?"

I clenched my teeth trying to push my anger down knowing that if I raised my voice that will only lead to endless questions and would consequently affect dad's position at her company. I don't want my past relationship with him to affect dad's work in any possible way so I just swallowed the lump in my throat.

"Mrs.Kim, I really don't know why you're telling me that. You have nothing to worry about because there's absolutely nothing going on between me and Taehyung that would affect him in any possible way." My voice was slightly louder near the end.
She narrowed her eyes in a way that said 'I don't believe a single word you say'

"My son got injured earlier and he didn't mention it to anyone. Not even his brother." I opened my mouth to argue but she stopped me.

"And it didn't take me long to realize it was because of you." She sat straighter folding her hands in her lap as she turned to me in her seat.

"I didn't mean for that to happen.I would never want him to-"

"You can leave now." She ended and I swallowed still staring unbelievingly at her. I gritted my teeth opening the car door angrily ready to get out but stopped midway.
