Shinhye's POV:
Taehyung was asking for a dance. I stared between the two of them before I nodded reassuringly.
Mark slowly dropped his hands from around my waist before he turned to Taehyung with a glare then walked away.
I looked up at him meeting his eyes before I slid my hand in his open palm. I gasped when he pulled me gently closer our bodies pressed together. My face was inches away from his and I could feel his warm breath fanning my face. He placed both of my hands on his shoulders then curled his hands around my waist. I held my breath looking up at his eyes to find that he's already staring with that same intense stare that took my breath away.
"You look beautiful." he whispered in a husky voice staring down at me and I shuddered.
"Those bangs look really cute on you." He softly touched my bangs tucking the tendrils that managed to fall his hands lingering there. His eyes bore into mine with a little smile grazing at the corner of his lips.
"I didn't think you had time to stare." The words came out before I could stop myself making him laugh softly.
That laugh.
"Jealous?" He teased.
I looked away trying to hide the truth.
"Aish, me? Jealous? Pshhh. No way." I scoffed waving my hand and looking away trying to look unfazed. I was never a good liar and if he did know I was lying he didn't hide it.
He grinned triumphed as if he could see right through me.
"Keep telling yourself that sunshine." he laughed shortly under his breath as he held my hend and swirled me around in a single twirl. The soft beat engulfing us and making feel like we were the only one in this crowded dance floor.
I kept looking away trying to ignore his eyes and saw Hobi chatting with Mark's sister So Hyun.
He was talking and gesturing with his hands and she kept laughing continuously at his jokes. I made a mental note to tease him about that later.
He caught me staring as if feeling eyes on him and his expression changed. He mouthed, 'Boya?'
I shook my head slightly and he nodded before offering a small smile in return.
"He's a good friend." Tae spoke in a low tone.
"Huh?" I looked at him confused and saw that he was looking at J-hope. I smiled nodding.
"The best. He's always been there for me through everything."
He sighed long. "He's probably worried about you dancing with me right now and it kills me that I can't blame him."
I swallowed the lump in my throat seeing at the raw pain in his gaze.
"I know that you hate me." He whispered resting his forehead on mine with his eyes closed. I close my eyes for a second feeling my heart skip a beat.
"I just want you to know that I never meant to hurt you." My eyes already started tearing up at his broken voice but I tried to calm myself down.
"I don't hate you Tae. I don't think I ever could." He slowly opened his eyes at that looking surprised.
It's not easy to hate someone you love eventhough you try to convince yourself that you do.
"It would be easier if I did" I exhaled heavily. He placed his palm on my cheek his finger moving up and down as he spoke in a low soft voice.
"Tell me you forgive me. Please. Even if you don't mean it, I just need to hear you say it. Please." His voice cracked near the end.
